Lots of people requested it... would be worth going through the story again (especially those of us who did it the first time) just to get the dyeable version. I understand that you're trying to attract new players, but how about throwing us vets a bone every now and then?

The reason it's not dyeable is because the devs are putting zero work into it, just simply turning it back on. -

It's just the exact same event as it was in 2015 so it's the same items (even the quest name is the same so I assume those of us who already did won't be able to do it again (not sure why we'd want a second set of gear anyway).
Although I don't know exactly how they have to do it, I suspect making an item dyeable takes a lot of work as they have to test each item and colour certain parts with every single dye that we have (just over 120 now?).
It's a lot easier for SE to just roll out a previous event (with previous items), than essentially make what would be need to be new items (they have the basic model of the items, but need to still do all the recolouring).
Of course I'd like dyeable versions too, but that just seems unlikely I'm afraid. -

I'm hoping they'll make it dyeable in time. On a similar note, can they please stop using the strange slightly-off-white colour for this kind of gear? It doesn't pair properly with either pure white or snow white dyes. I have no clue why they do this but it isn't the only set to suffer from this kind of thing.
