yeah... who else stuck and can't play because they can't pay? lol

i heard SE making a new way to pay.. but didn't see anything so far, thinking about giving up :/

I purchased 3,000 crysta.

My bank called me, they cancelled my card, locked my checking account and mailed me a new debit card. I'll get it in 5-7 business days.

Its also SE's fault for having terrible options for payment.

How hard is paypal. Seriously.

I don't know where you're located, so your options may be different, but when you buy Crysta you can use UltimatePay and just purchase directly with a credit/debit card (or paypal, if that's your thing). That's what I did this morning.

That seems to be an option for most of us. But I've seen posts of users located in EU and Central/South America that don't have that option. Only have C&B, but at the same time C&B is not available (they can create an account, even verify the card, but can't pay SE).

I have several friends, all within the US, who can't get payments to go through. They've verified, and even re-verified proper funds, but both Ultimate Pay options (credit card, and PayPal) are not going through.

I've talked them through it, and really have no idea why it isn't working.

I posted in one thread, but I'll post in this one as well. BeePee your friends have to call the bank and validate the payment. My bank is pretty lax, but they refused to release payment for Click N Buy because they are in a region of 'high fraud' my bank's words not mine.

A very high volume of fraud occurs where their US headquarters is located, somewhere in California, and I guess banks naturally safeguard against that area unless specified otherwise. I verified the payment with my bank and ordered the security token. The transaction went smoothly aside from me having to actually phone my bank, but I cancelled my card and my Click and Buy account shortly after.

Nah, they're not using Click n Buy. They're trying to buy Crysta using Ultimate Pay.

I though Click and Buy were based in the UK.

I used this game card with no issues. You can easily find them at any Walmart or Target. I think any gaming store might carry them as well. Hope this work-around helps some until they can get their issues sorted.

My mom is at this very situation C&B messed her subscription so right now we are waiting to verify her CC again. Hoprfully it won't lock the CC again as happened when i first registered to C&B...seems like some CC companies consider suspicious their "2 random verify amounts"... ><

Very similar thing happened to me. I purchased 2,000 Crysta the next day my bank calls me to notify they put a hold on my account because it was flagged for fraud.

I've been using click and buy for FFXI with no problems. I'm not sure if this was a special cercustance where I had multiple charges land on my card making it look suspicious. I appreciate my bank being so responsive to possible misuse of my funds. I hope when I go to renew my 6 month sub that it doesn't happen again.

I didnt find click-and-buy confusing when I initially set it up in 2010, but hearing all bad issues with them i opt'd to crysta and used Paypal lol (EU/UK Account here)

I set up a few accounts for people a year ago due to them becoming very frustrated with the process. The accounts set up didn't have any problems. We all used Click and buy to purchase 1,000 crysta before billing began. I got receipts in my email, and the banks didn't say anything. I remember the registration was really way too confusing and brought back memories of my impatient teenage self trying to figure out how to set up billing in FFXI (which had me in tears T_T)... this was worse. Why they would chose this method is beyond me...

Is it possible that it's worse for people with more then one character or paying for larger amounts of crysta?
I only used the 30 day option and only bought enough crysta to pay for one month. Same with the other accounts. All of us only paid for one character. I am not sure if this makes a difference or not.
Before billing started I went into each FFXIV account, opened every option (payment method, period length) and selected and confirmed everything again to make sure it was all refreshed. I had to add a new card to the click and buy account, because the one a year ago expired. I tried the ultimatepay option but that one was terrible and wouldn't work...

I wish I could help more. :< I hope everyone gets a chance to play again. Don't give up. ^-^

no , UGC only pay for crysta via "UltimatePay"
but ppl in case didnt have the option "UltimatePay" ,
simply, SE didnt offer any method for them to buy "Crysta"
only have "Credit/debit Card" option to pay(and then , yes, via C&B)
for US/JP user, its weird and hard to realize , but for EU user, its a pain hard to say

my C&B account is temporary blocked for some reason.
i can't verify my CC because of the two random amount they charge not coming in USD in my statement.
i convert the amounts to USD then write it down there but still not correct.
did that for like 6 times then my CC got expired because you entered the wrong confirmation amounts 6 times. ><

i think better if i tried creating new account but i'm not sure if my CC will work on other account

one more thing, when i tried to add crysta i get this error:

ApplePie another troll in our wonderful forums. Deadriser happens to contribute a more valuable opinion then that of a lvl 9 FSH. If you want to do something actually useful, how about exercising some patience SE is working on additional payment options that should fix the problem.... oh wait I forgot your entry into this thread was attacking my friend Deadriser... I had issue with Click and Buy too when I registered a year ago to my SE account.
My bank called me as well that my card was blocked but I was able to unblock it by calling them...

There is something about Click and Buy that triggers the fraud system at the bank apparently.

<-- Trying to set up C&B during September 2010, success, 2-3 months later receive Letter from C&B, my country card is not accepted, 'is ok since is still free, then came news that will have more options, feel relieve, but sadden that they did not make it in time on 6th January 2012,

Now... can't pay and play.. suck. there is only C&B, no Ultimate Pay, not even Crysta.

Locked out. No Crysta permitted in Australia and my Bank is too sexy for ClickandBuy.
