Is there any way to reduce my level? One of my characters is level 51 and I don't plan to level that job anymore. My main is 70 and the rest are zero. I would like to reduce level from 51 to 0. Is it possible?

Deleting the character
It's impossible to "level down", this isn't Final Fantasy XI
I'm curious why you'd want to? There is no in game functionality I can think of for having all other jobs at 0 that can't be done with one job you use with no gear in inventory.
Level it to 70 so it doesn't seem uneven?
Wait, you've been a member since 2011 and only have one class at 70? What do you do?! I'd run out of things to do in a week with only one class.
This. As someone with diagnosed OCD, I can say that it irks me to no end that my profile is a mess while I'm leveling things and I really hated before they changed how jobs worked that arcanist sat at 15 and thm sat at 26 for me. Drove me nuts. Dx
But since you don't look at your own profit so often I learned to deal with it. But I could understand why someone would want it to be clean.
Literally meant before Stormblood you had to level Arcanist to 15 and Thaumaturge to 30 (with THM Quests completed) in order to become a Black Mage as example.
The Way Cross Class Skills worked before Stormblood (Not Role-wise) required you to level around 2-4 Classes.
Both has been removed since Stormblood.
I feel you OP. I wish I could de-level all the jobs I was forced to level for Cross Class and level 30 Job promotions. I never ever see myself playing DRG, PLD, or MNK but im stuck with them. I tried to play them just to manage my neuroses that they were unlocked on my profile but I just don't like them.
The best thing I can suggest is level it to 60 and never ever touch it again. That way its a clean number at least :) I ended up doing this with all the jobs I don't like playing but was forced to unlock to get things like B4B or Provoke in 2.0 - 3.0.

What's the problem with it?
If you want uniformity simply suck it up and level all the other jobs to 51. If you really need all jobs at 0 then start a new character purchase the story/leveling booster... problem solved.
I can sympathize with you as I have OCD as well but complaining about it is not the answer. The best route you can take is to find a way to make it work for you.
But why? ...
Same here. I go crazy when I look at my profile and I see that my GLA and MRD are the only classes I don't have soulstones for. I have no desire to level those classes, but ugh! I do deal, but it indeed does drive me crazy when I look at it. My FSH was also my only gatherer not at 60, and so I got it to 42 now. That's different though. I like fishing.
I have thought about trying out DRK, and finally getting my tanks to 30 would not only alleviate some of that crap, but also give me some good experience opposed to just jumping right into 30+ tanking.
Perhaps they could make a craftable item, maybe like a "Potion of Spear Based Forgetfulness" as an example to reset your Lancer level to 0 (with other classes having their own names for the potion, or maybe make it a book called "Moving on from Lancer"?). However instead of having to do the quests again, you just talk to the guildmaster and ask for a "refresher course" and they'll bring you back up to speed (either start at the level you start as for that class/job, or maybe bring you back up to the level you had before?). All abilities you had unlocked through quests will be unlocked by reaching the level for that quest. Good way to inject a niche item into crafters too.
My suggestion is to get everything to 70. It'd give you a better understanding of each job, thus improving your skill as a player.
As an example, my GLA is 24 and my MRD is 19. I got everything else to 30 except these two, but why? I had every intention to, but the main reason was the previous cross class system. MRD previously had quite a few skills that were mandatory for not only tanks, but some DPS too, and in the 19 levels I played MRD, it failed to keep me interested, and like the OP, I kind of wish I could lock it back up again as I don't plan to level it anytime in the near future. I'm guessing a similar mindset, and the OP just ended up not enjoying it, and that number is like a constant buzzing that never stops.
Of course, I am not requesting a feature like this. For me it is easy to deal/live with, but that buzzing remains a perpetual annoyance. It can be more difficult for others to find a way to shut it out.
Yes, this is exactly what I meant. Before, you needed level 30 in conjurer and 15 in arcanist in order to become a white mage. I needed 26 from thm for swift cast which was essential for the whm kit. (Actually Im pretty sure I needed arcanist higher as well for eye for an eye too but I don't recall anymore since I started a new character when stormblood launched).
OP wasn't complaining. They simply asked if it was possible. How is that complaining? lol
I can relate to this - except my problems maybe related to autism as opposed to OCD. I had a character that used to drive me nuts because of the different levels my classes were that I had to start over on a new character and level each class equally - this was before the SB changes and now the need to level classes is a moot point! So now my classes that I play less than others are starting to bug me because they’re not the same level. Yet, I’m learning to cope with that and work my way slowly through all classes and levelling them initially to 60, eventually all to 70 more than likely though! I’ve had to learn not to look at my profile if I can help it cos it drives me mad!
For reasons different from OP, I'd enjoy something to prevent experience gains, if only so I could stall at 60 to experience some of the end-HW content without over-leveling pre-SB.
It is possible. Save your character appearance, drop all Gil and items into the fc chest, delete character. Start new character, buy leveling and msq potions. Take Gil and items out of fc chest. Relevel job to 70. Problem solved. But spendy tho.
Have a word with yourself OP! I've no doubt this is a legitimate issue for you but if it's that bad MMO's are not for you my friend.
Run for the hills. Nothing but numbers and chaos here.
That’s a bit harsh don’t you think? I’ve met lots of people online with all different types of problems. I have social interaction problems and could possibly have autism - should I stop playing a game I love just because I find it difficult to socialise? If you can reset retainers levels and at one point when it was applicable you could reset your attributes, why not be able to reset your character level as well? Judging from the responses on this thread the OP is not the only one with this issue, are you saying they should stop playing too because mmos aren’t for them either?
The solution is to level it to make it even.
I'm still awaiting word from OP directly but for now I'll assume that others have surmised correctly and it's a "omg it's not organized looking" thing.
That sucks, but no, there is no way to remove levels in this game. I sympathize with your situation, but barring any actual mechanic that requires it, it's highly unlikely anything like that will ever be enacted. Others have already suggested all possible solutions, I wish you luck OP.
My main issue is that you said that it would be easier for you to delevel than to level those classes, when as of 4.0 (with experience buffs) you could get both of those classes to 30 in one or two short play sessions. If delevlling is easier than spending that little amount of time getting those classes to 30 then the problem can't be that important to you.
I can sympathize...I leveled some jobs that I truly didnt want to simply because I wanted that clean profile.
Unfortunately I just might have just did that with SAM/PLD (51/61) so I'll be taking those to 60/70 respectively, because I cant stand to look at my job list like that.
But yes, as most have said, unfortunately there is no way to de-level or reset class progress (although that might be nice if people wanted to re-live/re-learn that story from the start). The only options are to roll a new character or level it to a number that doesn't trigger you.
How so? If deleveling worked like resetting your desythesis level to zero, I go to an npc and buy a tome, and then use it. Done.
Getting both of those classes to 30 involves a few more class quests, updating gear, and running some dungeons or other preferred leveling method. And that's just what getting them to 30 entails and does not even factor my playstyle. I'm not the type to do things half-assed just so I am satisfied with the numbers I look at. I would never level these classes to 30 just to have them at 30. If I ever choose to level them, it would be because I actually want to learn how to tank in this game. So you might want to take that into consideration before assessing exactly how important the problem is to me.
Some things don't always have to be complicated, but sometimes, things are also not as simple as you're making them out to be.
No one cares about your search info and those that do will respect you more for having at least some experience on those jobs rather than seeing a blank space and thinking "He's never played this he doesn't know what he's talking about". Leveling down is silly.
By the twelve, some people argue for the smallest things...
