Make leveling roulette bonus permenant

I have never understood why this needs to be a once per day bonus. This helps new players level up, improves queue times for all dungeons and gives players a chance at not doing the same dungeon over and over again. I mean the bonus is equal to what you would get anyway had you done a dungeon that was meant for your level.

Even for high levels the tome bonus is smaller compared to 50/60, so they would still do other roulettes over this or spam an individual high level dungeon. personally I see no reason why this can't be a thing.

It's there so you can't do it all at once + incentivizing casual players to log in daily i. e. subscription bait.

But if you are wanting to level fast you would do the dungeon for your level and get the same exp. So how would that change anything? All this would change is giving players an extra choice plus more variety.

A)That means you have more time to spend than average casual player.
B)Without it you are forced to play through highest available dungeon if you want to level. With it scenario is possible where you get to 70 by just running Sastasha.

But this is my point there is not much difference in reward between the two. So I see no reason why it couldn't be possible. So you get to 70 running just Sastasha but you also got new people through an old dungeon.

You can do that right now. Buy and activate HW, buy and activate SB, level to 17, do Sastasha and Tam-Tara and then only do leveling roulette once a day until you are 70.

It's slow, but doable. And even if you are finally 70 through that, you still have to go through Copperbell, Toto-Rak, Haukke, Brayflox, Stone Vigil, Castrum, Praetorium, Snowcloak, Keeper of the Lake, Sohm Al, Aery, Vault, Great Gubal Library, Aetherochemical Research Facility, Antitower, Xelphatol, Baelsar's Wall, Sirensong Sea, Bardam's Mettle, Doma Castle and Castrum Abania before you're allowed to step into your first actual level 70 duty.

Because then people would likely just exploit the hell out of it, by making a group of 1 healer, and 2 dps that queue for leveling roulette set to JP language, and a tank outside the group queuing for Ifrit normal under JP language.

If you level to 70 only in sastasha you will be the worst level 70 in the game... you're acting like the rewards are great the queue times are impossible and that there's only one option to level...

It's an incentive to keep people subscribed, and that being said the reward is already good enough. If it's rewarded constantly then you're only even going to bump into bad news players quite often.

Levelling is already too easy in this game. Let's not make it even easier.... We'll see how anyone feels about this if they ever get Aurum Vale 6 times in a row

No I don't think the rewards are great hence why I see no reason why it cant be a permanent fixture. Yes you are correct if you only did Sastasha you would probably suck, but players are already doing the equivalent with potd. I personally would just like more variety when it comes to leveling up in the DF.

Spamming the same dungeon over and over again is tedious, which is going to get even worse when we get 1 dungeon in Expert for a few months.

I agree with the premises in general. This change should be limited to levelling jobs only. If you are a levelling a job, there is fundamentally no difference in XP between Levelling Roulette and highest available dungeon.
I would not allow the Roulette bonuses to be applied to more than once anyone at level 70 already.

They should have it so that the role in need (tank) doesn't use up the one bonus per day. Or make it a 50% chance so it doesn't change things that much but still gives more incentive to tank the leveling roulette.

I dont really see the need leveling is super easy in this game hence why almost all my jobs or level 70 before the first patch

I agree

More variety? There's roulette, normal dungeon runs, fates, potd, leves, grand company item exchange, front lines... or for the truely lazy the jump potions... what you're suggesting is just a reason to spam leveling roulette

It would have a negative effect on queue times for DDs, as more DDs would be in DR:Leveling queue.

This is not like the cracked cluster incentive, which favors tanks and sometimes healers.

DDs in queue for specific dungeons can only be placed in the specific dungeons for which they queue.

(For the following examples, assume all players are DDs, and assume positions refer to people across all queues)

Scenario A:
You are a Lv63 job in queue for the Lv63 dungeon, and you are in position 1. The person in position 2 is queued for the Lv28 dungeon. An opening arrives for the Lv28 dungeon. You will be passed over for person #2.

Scenario B:
You are a Lv63 job in queue for the Lv63 dungeon, and you are in position 1. The person in position 2 is a Lv30 job and is queued for DR:Leveling. An opening arrives for the Lv28 dungeon. You will be passed over for person #2.



Scenario C, with your suggested infinibonites:
You are a Lv63 job in queue for DR:Leveling, and you are in position 1. The person in position 2 is queued for the Lv28 dungeon. An opening arrives for the Lv28 dungeon. You will get the spot that would have gone to person 2.

Scenario D:
You are a Lv63 job in queue for DR:Leveling, and you are in position 1. The person in position 2 is a Lv30 job and is queued for DR:Leveling. An opening arrives for the Lv28 dungeon. You will get the spot that should have gone to person 2.


Worst case scenario, lower level players will be waiting in queue longer than they do currently because more high level DDs will be in DR:Leveling. Best case scenario, all the tanks and healers who are also currently queuing for specific dungeons will queue DR:Leveling instead, offsetting the extra DDs but leaving the lowbie queues in no better position than they were originally.

Bottomless bonuses are at best, a "not terrible" idea. They are not a "good" idea.

The faster you level, the faster you progress, the less subcription you pay.

Just a quick aside, I still don't think the thread topic is a good idea, but in fairness, the scenario you're describing won't happen. As of 4.05, DR:Leveling consolidates all languages into one pool.

I swear when I hit 60 I got AV at least 5 times in a row on Leveling roulette, and with at least one sprout each time.

I dont ever want to explain the fruit mechanic ever again.
