Summoner Action Overload

Summoners have a lot of actions. I'd really like it if the following things happened.

• Have Dreadwyrm Trance change into Deathflare when you cast it, with a small cooldown to prevent doubletapping
• Have Enkindle change to Enkindle Bahamut when you use Summon Bahamut
• While in DWT, change Ruin to Ruin III

DWT and Deathflare are mutually exclusive: you can't cast Deathflare without being in DWT and if you can cast DWT you can't cast Deathflare because you're locked out of Aetherflow in DWT. I would like to have one button instead of two for actions related this way.

Summon Bahamut dismisses your pet while Demi-Bahamut is active, so you can't regular Enkindle, it would be useful to just replace Enkindle with Enkindle Bahamut.

Ruin III's cost is reduced to that of regular Ruin, but still has 50 more potency, so it's just always better in DWT. Outside of DWT, it's fine if there's still a seperate action for Ruin III so you can spend the extra mana for the extra potency if you want, but there's no point in Ruin being around while in DWT.

I think you mean the other way around for MP cost under DWT. Ruin cannot branch specific for SMN because it's ACN skill and shared with SCH.
iirc "Ruin III" didn't use MP at all under DWT before SB. Maybe my memory fails but thats why the aetherflow was changed to no-fail.
I agree it needs to be reduced but not that much, maybe more on par with Broil.

no I think he meant a change like in pvp - while in trance upgrade ruin to ruin 3 - like in pvp you got perm procs of ruin 4 while in dwt. ruin lll costs are the same like before in and out of trance just with a lower pot than in HW. and the the aetherflow change had nothing to do with ruin but with your stacks to build up bahamut.

It did use MP in DWT before SB it just used however much MP Ruin cost.

Currently, Ruin II's mana cost is about 6 times that of Ruin outside of DWT, and is set to equal mana cost inside DWT. I don't understand what you mean by "Ruin cannot brenach specific, unless you mean that the Ruin action can't be changed, even though you bring up Broil, which replaces Ruin for Scholar.

I mean literally replaces it. If you try to put Ruin on your bars it just changes into Broil automatically.

I also don't want to change any MP costs, what I'm asking for is QoL changes, where the Ruin action on your hotbars gets replaced with Ruin III while you're in DWT.

That would mean that no summoner can use Ruin 3 outside of DWT, that would end in a horrible dps drop.

Yeah they should do it like in pvp perm r4 procs in dwt- r3 would be a nerf like Cat said : /

Integrating DWT with Deathflare, and Enkindle with Enkindle Bahamut should be no brainers. Ruin and Ruin3, though? Ehhh, not so much.

I'm not saying that Ruin II should only be accessible during DWT, I just think Ruin shouldn't be accessible during DWT.

Dont get me wrong but if anyone is using ruin 1 while he is in DWT .. then he/she is a bad player or is not able to read the description of the skills with his/her eyes. (blind)

Maybe i missunderstand you or you want something that makes anything much easier

This is the only thing I agree with. IMO I don't think Summoners have too many actions in general. I love the class but I wish there was a bit more to it. Bahamut helps though...it definitely helps... :D

im missing one spot for my setup (on ps4) to come along with 2 xbars... swaping Tri-Bind and Bane daily for certain content - else im with ya.. personal I think the amount of skills/pskills is totally fine for me : o

I'd rather keep Deathflare on a separate CD to be honest. It feels better to me that way. Instead, I'd prefer it if Summon: Bahamut and DWT were integrated into the same skill (as in, every third DWT is replaced with Summon: Bahamut rather than every 2 DWTs charging up to a separate Summon: Bahamut phase), with Akh Morn and Deathflare getting the same treatment. There are a bunch of other issues with SMN I'd love to see fixed, but in terms of bloat, that would save a ton of headaches.

As for Ruin III, you need a button for it anyways. No sense wasting development time fixing something that small when clearly there are bigger issues to deal with.
