1. If a sprout is kicked out, make them require a new invitation to rejoin after their kicked out cooldown expires. That way repeat offenders and RMT advertisers cannot automatically rejoin.
2. Make it so a Mentor cannot send anyone invitations into the Novice Network if they are not actually in the Novice Network. If they want to send the invite they can join the Novice Network to do so and if the Novice Network is full then someone in it should have it covered.
Also to ensure both requests actually have an impact it could be made so sprouts, returners, and mentors alike cannot voluntarily leave the Novice Network for 5 minutes after joining it. This does not include idle timeouts as mentors.
In case anyone is wondering yes these requests are mainly to stop this particular RMT advertiser that keeps getting invited into our server's Novice Network no matter what we do every day at least once a day, but are not limited to just that. However, this issue with that damn advertiser has been going on for about a month now and it needs to stop...

You will find if you go into one of the 3 cities you will see gilsellers shouting to get into the novice network. I dont think it's any of the mentors that are inviting gilsellers. Well unless they are trolling.

It's hard to say if it is a mentor or few's intent or always innocent invites since a recent one a mentor admitted in the network they let them in without knowing it was them but normally it's safe to say they are invited by a mentor not actively in the Novice Network.Quote:

The big issue with these RMT spammers is they leave immediately so you can't kick them. One thing that would help would be if an account has an outstanding RMT report then it would be autoblocked from the Novice Network until the report was dealt with. If they would just make that change it would help with the RMT in Novice Network problem. It would also be nice if X number of reports would auto squelch these vermin so their spam would clear up that much quicker.

The kick does actually work though and the sprout is still removed from the channel as expected, sort of. Even more confusingly, to the kicked sprout, they still think they're in the channel, they just no longer see any chat. Depending on how active your NN is, this is all easily verified and instead of kicking them, simply load up the list of people and quickly jump to the last page. Unless someone has kicked them, they'll still be there and will remain there indefinitely. We've done multiple tests on my NN by kicking test accounts etc to confirm all this.

I would prefer if hunt marks weren't spammed on NN as well, that's really my only reason for getting out of it. There are linkshells and FCs for that.
