I WARK YOU! Support the Implementation of Chocobo Hot & Cold Mini-Game

Oi!

I know I'm not the only Lalafell that liked this mini-game in FF11. Implementation of something similar to this in FF14 would be great. It would be a system more in-depth than just the simple chocobo digging people have been clamoring for.

Support this thread if you want a chocobo hot & cold mini-game! I WARK YOU!

Please urge them to do something CREATIVE, not these garbage "mini-game mechanics" which drove away thousands of players in the first place.

Hot and cold, aka the ENTIRE GATHERING system, is garbage. This is not a mechanic from XI that should be carried over to XIV.

Was fun in Final Fantasy IX, not so much in Final Fantasy XI.

As long as the rewards weren't complete and utter garbage, I could see myself playing it.

I enjoyed FFIX's version. Digging to uncover treasure maps with little clues and then going to track it down would be awesome. Especially if it eventually led you to the fat chocobo :D

I've heard of no one quitting FFIX because of Hot & Cold nor did I hear of anyone quitting XI because of an optional mini-game.

"Tibian" =/= thousands of players.

I did not nor did anyone in my several linkshells across several servers (i hopped) ever played with chocobo racing, some did the Digging but not for the game, more for the crafting purposes.

I wouldnt say no to this but i would say i could careless and prefer other content first and second and third and fourth and fith and sixth and ... you get it?

Hot & Cold is content in terms of game design, though. So what I think you meant to say was:

"I prefer content relevant to MY interests." Since FFIX's Hot & Cold served as content relating to Chocobos that DID benefit the player, i.e optional super boss and Ark summon.

I loved the hot and cold game in FFIX. I made huge charts and diagrams a long time ago documenting every little detail in terrain and other such things. Honestly I spent more time playing hot and cold then the rest of the game.

I did the raising racing and other chocobo things in FFXI and loved them all, if they could take those concepts and improve them in FFXIV, I would be all over that.

Sorry I should have clarified.

I am all for the implementation of digging, racing, and optional mini-games/content. My main issue is that the OP wants strictly "hot and cold" which has been used via the gathering system. People have commented how frustrating and annoying the gathering system is, thus a hot and cold chocobo digging mechanic would just further ignite the fire.

SE should be able to come up with a creative way to implement chocobo digging, racing, tetra master, casino, other mini-games that don't entirely revolve around the same repetitive (and completely lack luster) mechanic.

And lets be honest, everything that is "optional" isn't really that "optional" in the end for dedicated players.
