Running old raids

So, aside from being near impossible to get these to pop, are there any ways to recruit others aside from party finder for old raids (Weeping City of Mhach specifically)? I heard that raid roulette is coming in 4.1 but I kind of wanna run this before then.

Or does anyone know of any static on Aether that runs old raids and content consistently? :confused:

I tend to queue for the old raids with the regular Party Finder during the weekends for Wondrous Tails. It can take a little while sometimes, but usually I manage to get a group just fine.

Reason it's harder to pop the old 24 man raids is becuase it requires 3 times as many people as other old content to start. including 6 healers.

And while tanks are slightly more abundant than usual, healers are nowhere to be found half the time. Even I've stopped healing stuff as much now that AST is 70, unless I'm queueing with a friend.

As tank queued old content but by irony had to wait forever, because there were missing some dps.

I wished more people qued for the old raids. I'm missing a weeping and dun clear cause when I came to the game shock shock. Noone does these anymore :c. It just sucks that people stop doing these things cause of new stuff. Going by the 2 hour que times I had to indue the past 2 weeks... it feels like I'm the only new person in the game. :/

edit. I HATE typing on my controller. No computer so yes... typing on the PS4. freaking sucks. And no I don't own a KB. Only controller.

When raid roulette comes you'll have no problem getting in. Problem is #1 it's old content and #2 majority of us have run that stuff so many times and there is 0 incentive to go in atm.

Labyrinth of the Ancients says hi. Doesn't help that it's also required to unlock the two following raids.

You have the best shot at running these on the weekend when alot of people max out their WT. during the week, its a long wait.

IIRC, didn't one of the Live Letters mention they were reworking(or wanted to) the Labyrinth to be 3 tanks instead of 6? I remember hearing something about it, but can't remember if it was hearsay or directly from the letter.

It wasn't going to make it for 4.1 IIRC, although they did have plans for raid roulette to be ready for 4.1. Both are things I wouldn't hold my breath on given their track record for these sort of things.

I run a lot of tome farming with dps now even though i leveled two healers as mains on my alts. Not worth it to me to deal with DF and tanks who like to speed run everything. I will heal the content with FC and friends. Relative to the raids other than maybe wanting a clear, why would you need to run them now? I personally haven't revisited any of the content since xpac.

Which is a shame cuz the void ark robe of casting looks so good. I mean, it's not the best robe but it's nice.

Honestly the queue keeps me from even trying, much as I would like to get some of the Ultima accessories for glam two hours is two hours I could slowly be levelling things. Also Queenie caused plenty of headaches when people were actually trying, not keen to give it a shot with the 'mechanics are for cars' attitude in play.

The Crystal Tower raids saw a generous surge in popularity when SE added Aether Oils to the weekly quest to incentivize people who were working on Anima weapons to populate them. 1800 tomes for running 3 24 mans was a pretty generous offer. Now Aether Oils are down to 350 poetics, and the allure is much diminished.
I expect that SE will eventually add a weekly quest for the Mhachi 24 mans also, probably also tied to the SB relic system.

6 tanks is a bit excessive for LoTR since the ilevel boom, cutting out the 3 who apparently all want to main tank Bone dragon is going to be nice. YoshiP said it will get re-worked to lower the tank slots for it, but it may or may not make it in 4.1.

I just want to run the Mhachi stuff because the orchestration rolls that are there.

I haven't run any of them yet...I guess it will be just as long of a wait time when I finally get to do them. Ahh well, that's what I get for being "late" to the game. I want to see them though, so I'll tough out the queue times just to be able to see them.

Yeah, it's sad that people can't or don't want to do them. A shame. Sigh, gonna have to wait until 4.1 it seems for when people need just one button to press. :/

you can solo a lot of them at 70 unsynced and if you can't solo them a few fc mates on unsync will see them to completion

Coil, maybe (thought it depends, not all contents are possible alone due to the mechanics), but 24 players raids, it is an other matter. Even Khloe books doesn't seem to be an incentive enough. Since SB, queue as DPS is most off time a nightmare, even the week-end or after the reset. People have something else to do than waiting 30min+ for DF or PF.

Then, maybe the roulette will change something, but it will depends if the incentive worth it.

I really want to unlock all of Alexander Savage so I can farm the item I need for dyeable shire gear... but I went on hiatus for a bit during HW and only unlocked Gordias. Trying to get a group to do normal Midas (and then later Creator) isn't happening soon it seems. :( I wish there was a way to unlock Savage more quickly after it becomes old content. *Sigh.* I just want to dye my coat...

Crap I should take this as a lesson and unlock Omega Savage at some point. ._.

EDIT: Actually found a group running these and have got up to Soul. o.O
