GC Seals to boost mount travel speeds, please

I'm sitting in Thanalan waiting for one of my daily ARR hunt's FATE to spawn. I'm bored to tears. Hunting, even with daily and weekly marks, is just not my cup of tea. However, I really want the mount speed increase.

Is there any way we can please use GC seals to purchase the mount speed increase items? I'm not interested in zerging hunts, which usually die before I get to them, or camping FATEs hoping the boss appears. I love running dungeons and turning gear in for seals.

Can we please have more than one way to get the speed increases? If not just GC seals, maybe Poetics or Verity?

It's most likely meant to be a long term goal/use of allied seals - just do the weekly elite hunt bill and you can get a book every few weeks. It would be fine if you could get them for like 3x centurio seals instead (since those are so much easier to get) but GC seals? way too easy might as well just give everyone the speed for free at that point.

I honestly think Allied Seals should be retired and all hunts award Centurio seals, but that's just me.

I fully expect in 5.0 we need to get yet another new set of allied seal purchases (per zone) to unlock flying in 1.0 zones. They are doing this to keep lower content viable for those still leveling. New players = profit for SE and the rest of us, so I don't see this tactic changing.

My complaint with ARR zone seals is that you can only get a very small amount reliably everyday.

For Centurion seals, the multiple sets of hunting marks guarantee you at least 150 (15*5*2) per day if you only do rank 3. Two days and you unlock one area's mount speed.

For Allied seals, you have one set of hunts per day and half of them are FATE boss mobs. Otherwise, you are looking at a measly 24 seals per day. That's more than ten days of steady grinding per area and we have a lot of ground to cover.

Yeah I didn't do hunt fates back in ARR when they were relevant and I sure as hell am not doing them now. They were always tedious. Just do your normal hunts and B ranks, join a hunting LS that calls out A and S ranks in all zones, including ARR. You'll get there eventually. This is a long term thing anyway, if you do little by little every day you will unlock it eventually.

I would be happier if they changed daily marks from FATEs to regular, lvl 50 mobs. Keep the reward low since they die in like half a hit, but changing the marks to something like Centurio dailies a lot less painful (and a lot more worth it since waiting out FATEs for a handful of marks is kind of soul crushing).

I do wish they would alter the hunt a bit. Cus the ARR hunts are not gonna get called and if they do there always seems to be that 1 guy who jumps on the moment they get there. No, it is not a complaint on waiting but in that people know there is 0 risk to going in alone, you are not gonna die to a level 50 when your 70 in max gear. Honestly if I do find an ARR, I ask my FC if they want in and we go at it alone otherwise risk not getting full reward.

Another problem is that ARR A class hunts can easily be killed solo. There's no need to call someone.
People rarely call HW hunts, and almost never call ARR ones.

GC seals would make it too easy, SE does not like too make things either non rng or easy.
I always sit close to 80K seals so it would be nice, haha

They need something to make people use an useless and crappy content.

Grand Companies need an overhaul. They've been dead with 1 rank increase in over 4 years.

As someone who farmed all the necessary allied seals for all zones mount speed increases, it isn't that hard. You just can't accomplish it while trying to do other stuff. If you focus JUST on getting them done it takes maybe a week of off & on effort.

Here's an idea: How about putting up a PF to get other people of a similar mindset as you to actually go find and HUNT these easy to kill ARR mobs for the seals you need? You only need 2-3 people at the most for even the hardest ones.

I know people just want stuff handed to them but wow, this isn't even that hard really.

Do you need increased mount speed in the ARR zones outside of hunt?

If it will cost GC seals one day then i hope it will cost around 70 000 - 80 000 seals

Got all my riding maps in about a week.

If you want them then go hunt yourself. Stop waiting for others to call them. Hardly anyone (at least on my server) actively hunts. I was able to find probably 10 or so A ranks a day on weekends.

The easy answer for the ARR A ranks and S ranks is to decrease their respawn timer and allow them to appear more often.

Unless they decide to go back and change the ARR hunt board to mirror the HW and SB boards or change the seals to centurio and get rid of allied seals altogether, we're probably going to be stuck with it like this because old area content, centurio didn't exist until HW, etc. Whatever reason they want to give for that. I got the last two boosts a couple weeks ago and all of them were gotten with a mix of marks and the hunt board. Took a while, but it wasn't so bad getting the most important/more traveled areas first and La Noscea last. Coerthas was definitely the first one bought...

Yeah it's not too bad...then again I probably have a biased opinion given I was near allied seal cap for 2 years and finally was given something to spend them on (ty devs!)

GC seals are far too abundant. Unless SE made the maps prohibitively expensive I can't imagine them ever letting us purchase them with company seals.

Yeahhh, as much as I would love it to go to GC, this would be far too easy.

The majority of GC seals come from the dungeon gear exchange. It doesn't make sense to reward dungeon running with a speed boost that only benefits one in non-instanced content. Put the reward in FATEs, maps, dailies or gathering so the people who actually do something in the open world get to benefit from their activities.

I already unlock all ARR speed from alliance seals by just doing the hunt board and sucked bad. SE should rework ARR hunt board to work like HW/SB.

Well I don't see why this thing needs to be quite so heavily gated. Allow purchase for capped seals. It'll be slower than hunting for them, but eventually you'll get them casually.

over the course of 1 year i capped out the 4000 seals just with the weekly B hunt mobs. you need 4250 seals in total for all ARR speed boosts.

Make the tokens cost 50k seals each, make you require 50 of them per map. Boom, 2.5m GC seals per map. At this point, it's probably easier to just hunt for them.

Maybe 1 - 5 seals per fate on old maps? at least give you something to do between the few and far between hunt marks.

You may not like hunting, but if you do it then you can get all your maps in a week or two and be done with it. Then you can... uh... what do you need increased mount speed for if you don't hunt?

While I'm annoyed at the limited use of GC seals I have to agree. I'm constantly hitting the cap so I'd have the extra mount speed in each zone within a week without even trying to farm for them.

I think it's more, people don't want to hunt for very sparsely populated and time gated things.
The new hunts are always up, there's lots of them and you don't have to devote nearly an HOUR for one mark per day.
it's frustrating for no discernible reason besides it's always been that way. A new system is in place for hunts that is constant and smoothly progress-able.

I justify the purchase running around leveling other jobs and finishing off my beast tribe quests.

I've gotten a huge amount of use on just East Shroud and Coerthas Central Highlands. Not only that but when leveling my crafters via leves (courier leaves to be precise), the to and fro of constant traveling is lessened significantly.

I have all of the maps for both ARR and HW (aka all of the mount speed upgrades for every zone) and I honestly won't look back but they definitely need to get rid of Allied Seals and condense them into Centurio Seals across the board make it cap at 5k.

I already got my last ARR area 6 days ago and done with ARR hunt completely.
STILL,I totally agreed to increased mark earned.Players deserve more than 64 seals per day.
Especially with old areas.
