Hey everyone, I have a really simple question. Does the housing auto-demolish feature trigger when your account expires?
Here's what happened. My credit card was compromised, and I didn't get around to switching it over on FFXIV. In short, auto-renew tried to bill me, and it failed (obviously). Anyways, within 30 minutes of my auto renew failure I received my first email saying that payment could not be confirmed. Then within 30 minutes I received another email stating that my estate will be auto demolished in (10) days if I do not enter it.
This caught me off-guard. I just entered my new credit card details and was good, but I thought the auto-demolish timer started at 45 days? So again, to ask my question--does having your account time lapse automatically trigger a 10 day auto-demolish on housing?
Could this be something new?

I posted this, because I'm also curious if this was a new change they added and slipped under the radar.
Additional information:
I zone into my house everyday.
I did not receive any prior notices for auto demolish. It was only the 10 day notice, and the email was received within 30 minutes of my sub lapsing.

If this is or isn't a new change, can anyone confirm from personal experience from a recent date? -

Just to be entirely sure, you are the owner of the estate (you purchased the land, your character's name is next to the plot number on the ward listing)? A tenant will not reset the timer. If this is the case and you entered the house (not the yard, but the house itself) within less than 30 days then submit a bug report here: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/f...2-In-Game-Bugs Just put N/A next to anything that doesn't apply to the situation. If you're back in game, check the estate timers to make sure it's no longer ticking down. If it still is, try just moving a couple items in the house and see if the timer notice goes away. If it does not, contact a GM as well ASAP. Not sure if they'll be able to help at all, but it's the best shot you've got.

It's not an issue that I would report as a bug. I resolved the count-down timer. But I was relaying that this happened to me which could imply that an under the radar change may have occurred. Though it's also possible that it's a bug?
I just figured it was interesting enough to warrant sharing with the community. -

It leads me to believe that it actually starts the day after you leave your house.
