I wonder if we'll ever get a chance to climb to the top. I wanna see how high it really is.
I'd be more surprised if we didn't, considering that there's that guard in front of its entrance and all.
I'm fairly certain it's either going to be one of the entrances to the next batch of 24-man raids, along with the ark in the Peaks; or the new PoTD clone. With the latter being the most likely given the tower's seemingly endless nature.
New deep dungeon: The Jenga tower of the GODS!
If anything its an elevator or a teleportation circle. Perhaps to Ivalice.
I don't see the point of "physically climbing" the inside of a tower that's the same width as a small FC house.
Eh, stranger things have happened. Remember House Fortemps in HW? Pretty sure that waiting room was as big as the entire house, and we know there were other rooms across the hallway just outside the double doors. SE isn't always the best when it comes to spacial issues.
It's for POTD v2, we go super up instead of super down
Tower of The Living?
I was wondering the same too, it would be a waste to have such landmark unused for anything else.
PoTD V2 most likely! I can see the finall floor being on top of that tower.
Slightly off-topic (maybe?) but i wonder if there will be a use for "House of the crooked coin" North west of the mol village.
The name of the tower is "Heaven on High", a couple of npcs around it mention it. I forget what they said exactly.
That is a ritual site where Dotharl can perform ritual suicide to break the cycle of reincarnation by throwing themselves to a death with no glory upon its ruins. Such a death allows them to return to the dusk mother.
You escort a Dotharl girl there in a side quest. She needs you to fight the monsters for her, because if she were to fight even if she were to kill herself she would still be stuck in the cycle of reincarnation.
I just wish we could land on it. :(

I feel like the House of the Crooked Coin is a good candidate for a dungeon in the future.
What the Dotharl say about it is simply their belief/understanding of what it is (A sacred site that houses a crystal they believe to be a physical manifestation of Nhaama), but I think it's probably something a lot more significant and likely tied to the most ancient parts of Auri history.
me and some friends hypothesize its the Tower of Babil
I would like to see the God who put it there, take a slot out and see how it falls :O!
It's probably worth noting that the same patterns on pillars jutting out of the pillar and the cavern around it are all over the Steppe, including the Dusk Throne, Dawn Throne, and the ruined bridges leading from it. You can also see the remains of a road leading from the House all the way down to Chakka Zoh at least.
speaking of the dawn throne, there's a single Moai statue at the bottom of it's lake
It could be the new POTD tbf
The tower is the method we use to go to the moon.
There is another tribe that lives in the caves below the Crooked Coin site with the Dotharl girl's quest that only talk about doing everything they can to repent a terrible event of a past generation brought about by intense greed.
I just assumed because of theme and proximity, THAT tribe was related to the Crooked Coin.
The design seems intended to make it seem endless, so I wouldn't count on ever getting to the top, if there even is such a thing.
Legends say that they are still playing.
That's the path to the Moon for 5.0...
I wonder if they would ever have something destroy/reshape the world like Deathwing for Cataclysm . This would severely reshape all of the Ruby Sea if it did happen and I would love to help everyone rebuild :O!
Also, Bahamut didn't actually destroy anything in the world like Deathwing did . He was powerful enough and his blasts went across the world, but we have yet to see the destruction he has caused :/.
