If I'm in a party, and either someone warps somewhere and I accept the free telly, or I warp to the same zone as someone in my party, how about sticking us in the same instance???
Like... Seriously. My friend and I were in one zone, he tellyd to the underwater city, I accepted the telly to follow him... And I ended up in a different instance..
Come on SE. Please, fix this.

I think the main reason for this is they never expected instances to go beyond the initial swell. Or still don't. I have no idea what their idea of a "temporary" fix is , a month, 2 months.. 45 days..
so unless someone has some insight into what they consider temporary , we've got a cobbled together fix for an issue they think will go away and have no reason to spend resources on making QoL improvements on. Like housing and server population, once the expansion hype dies down they'll start to consider actual fixes for sustained issues, but till then I'm feeling a very ".. nahhh.. not yet" attitude toward this kind of problem. -

Are people aware they can join the same instance as their friend if they exit the zone and come back manually?
Not saying it's not slightly irritating, but it's really not that big a deal either. -

I'm not really sure why they needed instances beyond The Lochs anyway since Ixion spawns were 90% of the issue. Not that I'm complaining.. I've made a cool 17 mil selling all the grade VI materia I've gotten from Hunts this week.

It is a problem with a working workaround. But like every problem, it needs to be FIXED. Mostly every freaking game that uses instances forces party into the same instance UNLESS players switch them manually. And yes, there usually IS an option to switch instance manually from anywhere, not only on zoning-in. -

Do I think they should never do anything about it? Maybe if they plan to get rid of the instances. But if they are going to be more permanent, then they should definitely let you chose when teleporting. But people act like it's the end of the world or something. -

Instences are all well and good but we need a option to change instence without going through a zone door and we need to be put in to the same instence as our party members like that should be a given

It should either ask us upon teleport what instance. Or ensure other party members teleport to leader's instance (or Teleport instigator's landing instance)
At least they should do so for the next expac. I don't forsee them fixing it this expac. -

I don't see why some feel a need to defend the choice of SE, you know it was not the best idea as do we. Just pop up the instance select when we teleport to these select areas and the complaints will vanish.

I was doing the storyline along with another player, and the instance thing becomes a real trouble with that. Every solo instance, dungeon, or primal fight will likely spit you into separate instances. This means every time there is one of these we typically have to spend ten minutes running to the edge of the map while the other just sits there to rejoin one another. Or sometimes my friend leaves to go tap a mining node really quick, or maybe I want to go check a market board. You can't simply teleport back. This time adds up and just gets boring to the point where we feel doing the storyline together isn't even worth it anymore.
