Blood spiller does not feel Impactful

The DRK as a job is fun and with recent QOL changes there are more reasons to play.

I would like SE to suggest one update for Blood Spiller is to make it feel more impact. The sound effect is very bad and its nothing like a feel of warriors fell cleave.

The one problem I found that enemies get damaged ASAP the animation starts but not at the end this is because for the sake of coolness the devs kept the long animation.

please reduce the length of animation but the animation and effects itself is really cool with a abyss tear appearing on impact and spilling blood like the LB 3 of DRK

The sound also need a major rework to make it feel impact like a tearing sound followed by a spill combined with shriek sound.

Please SE please look intot this and make it feel better for DRK players.

Bloodspiller needs more impact from a DPS standpoint as well.

Bloodspiller already has a huge impact on DPS.

Actually Captain Contrary, it mostly just fills in the potency gap left by Scourge, and barely effects our PPGCD at all if proc'ed with TBN.

This is not a problem of Bloodspiller, if a problem at all, considering that TBN is still a powerful mitigation cooldown.

It would be nice if it had a DOT component since they removed Scourge. Maybe with Dark Arts it adds a DOT.

Personally i hate the sound effect and animation for fell cleave. sure it feels impactful but nothing about circular saws scream warrior to me.
That being said though i do think the sound effect for BS could be either higher volume or slightly changed.
I don't see a reason to change the animation as you can already clip it easily. the animation is slightly shorter than the GCD so i actually think it would feel WORSE if they reduced the animation time, remember vorpal thrust for DRG? because of its short animation your character stood around and did nothing for a good 1.5 seconds which made the class feel rather slow imo.

Animation should NOT be changed, sound would be nice to see some changes though even if its an increase in volume.

What is the average most people are getting? So far with i313

With Dark Arts 8k-11k

Without 2k-5k

What I would like to see is maybe a combo or added affect to make worth using dark arts. Maybe Blood Drain or MP drain, hell make it both.

why? there is no reason for such a change. all it needs is a small potency buff.
only time you should use it without DA is if you need the MP for something else AND if you're in grit. using it out of grit without DA is a colossal waste of blood.

Don't mind him, he's just here to play politics.

My main issue with it is that since it is on the GCD it takes away from our MP generation (SS) and Blackblood (SE). When you mouse over its icon the potency numbers are huge compared to our other moves and at a casual glance a lot of people are going to think it is extremely powerful.

If it returned 1200mp the opportunity cost would not be so high.

No, I'm here to stop people like you spreading this kind of misinformation over and over.
Anything you can offensively spend your MP on is weaker than BloodSpiller, with the sole exception of Carve & Spit. And, apart from Delirium and its long cooldown, blood is only spent for Bloodspiller, the very skill you seem to despise so much.

I don't despise it. I just want to improve it.

Currently there are negatives to delaying your next Syphon Strike or Souleater, which using Bloodspiller does.

I personally disagree, Bloodspiller is the coolest of the three "big" tank attacks. I like the visuals and effects a lot and feel that hype every time I get to dunk a mob with it. Only thing I would change, aesthetics wise is increasing the volume of the existing sound.

This is a garbage basis for comparison because Fell Cleave is more than double the potency of most of WAR's other GCDs, whereas almost every GCD we have hovers around the ~3-400 potency range so Bloodspiller really isn't that special. Of course it has an impact on DPS, but "huge" is not the word to describe that impact.

I think its purpose is kind of diluted because Carve and Spit used to fill this role, and then Bloodspiller came and is also in that role too except it's not as good, ironically. If it's going to be like C&S they should tack a secondary effect onto it or make it own the potency argument.

Balance issues aside, I think the sound effect sounds like you're unsheathing a sword rather than darkness ripping your blood from you. Likewise it's animation doesn't really feel tied to the "impact" of the strike, to really get a feel for it: Use Bloodspiller and turn around, it's so darn janky.

Personally I think it should like a woosh and a bassy harsh sound to it instead of a high pitched metal scratching metal sound.
