[Suggestion] Tank Accessory solution?

Hello,

With tanks needing both vitality/HP as well as Strength, I will propose a solution that I feel will not inflate STR, making enmity a snooze, but also will not cause what Yoshida said he doesn't want "bloating of HP."

I feel the solution will cater to the offensive minded tank, as well as the defensive minded tank.

This also prevents tanks from being impervious to the "weakness" debuff, as switching tanks attacks back to vitality would cause.

The proposed solution:

All tank rings could be STR based.

(Or of course, this:..)

Which seems to be the consensus. Square-Enix, please just split vit/str on tank accessories, or put a large portion of str onto tank accessories.

I personally feel this is a good compromise.

This takes the least amount of effort from Square-Enix from either reworking tanks, reworking a lot of accessories, etc.

This also makes maintaining enmity easier (it's a joke already but some players do struggle)
I feel this is also a nice compromise for the offensive/defensive tank mindsets.
This also helps with scaling of HP and STR, to cater to the needs of a tank.

I also feel this can breath a little life into vitality materia.

I also feel this would allow for a even slightly more (albeit small) player customization.

This would be a band-aid fix unless they locked tanks out of using STR necks, wrists, and earrings.

Otherwise tanks could just upgrade their rings normally, and continue to use STR 270 pieces for the tank accessories that only provide VIT.

Also, it doesn't address the concern that healers and DPS scale on 5/5 of their right side pieces, while tanks currently scale on 0/5 of their role-locked ones. This would simply change that number to 2/5 pieces for tanks.

While that would be an improvement, it doesn't resolve the inequity.

I would vote for this, but asks a lot of effort from Square-Enix, so very unlikely to happen.

270 doesn't scale. The same as melds do not scale. New item level does. The OP is a realistic solution.

Tanks need HP/vitality as well. Making all the accessories STR only based, would lead to eventual 1 shots of tanks. So it's a 5/5 upgrade for tanks.

I would be totally content with:

Say, Item level 320 Accessories:
VIT 60 STR 60
Sub stat 113
Meld slot (can be STR or VIT, or anything else of course.)

I think this would be more than fair if it was a full split 1/2 and 1/2 VIT/STR.

Tanks do need STR for their abilities (not enmity) and tanks do need HP (not every healer heals the same way.)

I apologize if I came off as sarcastic, because I was actually being 100% serious. See my reddit comment here. What I did find amusing was the guy saying "Stop making sense. Right now."

SE said in the announcement here they're not going to return to VIT scaling, so I think accessories would need a bit more STR than that.

The problem with it is that SE doesn't want tanks doing that much damage anymore, otherwise they never would have taken our str away in the first place. We need ideas that aren't just roundabout ways of saying "give me my 3.x damage back" because its not going to happen.
