I (and I'm sure most of the player population) would love a button at menders that repairs everything we're carrying, not just items in one section of our inventory/armory.
PLEASE make this happen!

I approve. It's just a minor quality of life, and yet such a simple one that it's hard to believe it was not available from launch.
Yoshi's already said no because it would cause too much stress on the server. Although, if this could be passed onto the devs, I would be happy with a repair all and automatically advance to the next page button.
Yep, sry not going to happen, SE alrdy said no.
Just go through the different tabs and repair, it's literally 5 extra seconds, what, do you think your DF is gonna pop during those 5 seconds or something?
The excuse of "too much stress on the servers" doesn't work, as it's more stress on the servers when the player has to perform fourteen times the number of inputs to accomplish the same task as it's currently designed.
Why am I not surprised that someone who uses the Hitler mustache is snarky and disrespectful.
I'm confused why people need to repair more than what they have on in the first place. This has never been an issue to me.
Some will wait until their gear percentage is low before committing to a repair. People (like myself) who tend to repair after each piece of content run, are actually wasting a bunch of time to do so. This game doesn't have gear effectiveness decline with durability loss, so there's no difference between 1% and 100%, it's not until you hit 0% and the piece of gear "breaks" that you lose the piece's effects. That being said, it's foolhardy to not repair before entering a part of the current Savage/Extreme tier as these contents can break your gear with a quickness. Course, crafters don't have to worry, as they can just repair wherever they please.
Maybe they're switching between multiple classes/jobs and the first repair all is only for currently equipped items. So if you do something in one job, quickly switch to another and do something else, both jobs end up with damaged gear.
It's not that annoying,but as a person leveling a new character and trying to do the hunting log for all classes I have (the 3 starter magic ones) and do my gather logs at once, I do a lot of switching in a single area. I personally don't mind doing the 5 repair alls needed and think devs have more important things to take care of (like fixing that chocobo AI) and this QOL adjustment would end up minor, but I can understand why some people would want it combined.
However I don't buy the excuse given by SE that it'd cause anymore of a server issue than someone doing all of them in quick succession, espectially considering they were able to figure out how to handle the server load for more inventory space and that's something that hits up server data loads far more intensively. I'd rather they just say it's not a priority for them at the moment.
Would be lovely if it got added and the Yoshi saying "servers can't handle it etc" sounds like so much bullshit .. if the servers can't handle it then either upgrade the damn servers ( should be done no matter what, hello ixion fate Lag to the max ) or remove Dura all together like Rhysati says.
They won't remove durability so long as it's serving its purpose as a gil sink.
It's not really silly? It's just, a bit more work than usual. It's just a few button clicks, and if you got that as condescending, it isn't meant to be that way. I'm just being realistic.
Ooo a stalker, besides the fact of that being the case, what you're saying is even more disrespectful, but sure, go about your day being elated you could liken a person to Hitler over a bunch of words on a forum about repairing virtual items on a screen.
But ... but ... but it sounds like such a simple feature, I'm sure that now that they have upgraded their servers it would be totally doable to add a mend everything button!...
I'm glad I'm an omnicrafter (ut to 60 for now) and that it's possible to repair gear during any duty and even while fighting!... :)
Hey hitler also had hair...you have hair...i guess you support racism.
See how stupid that argument is?
I can't comprehend how you typed that out and still thought it was an ok thing to say.
On topic, its a small quality of life imporvment but i'm not going to cry if they never implement it..i don't carry much anyway.
They need to give it the melding treatment while they're at it. Remove dark matter from the game and put a direct gil cost in the menu.
We're talking about a game where people think dots are worthless and that Blizzard is more dps than fire on BLM. There was no common sense.
That and the definition of forgetting to repair everything is to not have everything repaired. Did he not forget to repair everything? I could have sworn not repairing that meant he didn't.
All I got there
Seriously even if it were just:
Done... server load? It would create exactly the same server load as us doing it, and it'd be over quicker.Code:foreach( page, repair_list )
{
repair_all( page );
}
The game has some serious bad coding (and outdated servers). It is preventing so many good features, fixing it is not as easy as people expect. They would have to go through a lot of changes in order to make a simple change.
The server architecture for this game is horrible and poses more problems than it brings gain. Just think of the struggle it was to give us some meager more inventory slots.
Glamour book? Not happening because too much server strain
Crafting from storage? Not gonna happen because server strain
I don't know who came up with the server limit but I think the way this game handles storage needs a MAJOR overhaul
Kinda funny that i actually don't know how repairing works via mender as i have self-repaired my gear since ARR >_<
Maybe because some players don't have enough gil to repair them all...
So they need to carefully choose the piece that really need to be repaired.
Some players feel struggle just to make 1k gil,you know.
