So where is the Lakshmi love?!

I recently found out that Lakshmi EX does not drop weapons but accessories. This super bums me out because I am a huge fan of Lakshmi and was looking forward to farming her EX trial to get her weapon for glamour!

Now, I understand the reason they decided not to give Lakshmi a weapon drop.
The issue with Heavensward where Bismarks gear was automatically replaced by the Ravanna weapon and the tomestone weapon, making it virtually useless upon release. Besides glamour of course, and we all know that glamour is the true end game here.

So my question, and hope, is will they eventually release Lakshmi weapons? Maybe even LVL 1 glamour options that we can get through the Ananta beaste tribe quests? Anything at all, I would just really like to see some Lakshmi gear.

Any thoughts, ideas or questions?

Probably not. Since both are immediately available at the same time after completing the story, it makes no point for both primals to drop weapons that would most likely be the same ilvl. In HW, you did bismarck first, got its weapon, then moved on to ravana for his weapon. There is no sequence of events like that here. So to make both worth farming, one primal got the weapons, the other got accessories.

I would imagine there will be some kind of craftable weapons down the line, after the Warring Triad/Nidhogg get theirs.

I love how neither primal is dead on arrival though, and Lakshmi being the one to drop accessories makes sense since the Ananta are famed for their gemcraft. :)

Yeahh it makes sense that they would give her accessories since the Ananta do make gemcraft. ;/ I have yet to see the accessories but they better look cute atleast! Hopefully they give us some craftable version or glamour version of weapons for her later down the road. ;/ it'd be lame if shes the only primal without a weapon.

It fits, since both of them feel like they have about four times as much HP as the other primals at their same level.

Where did her fairly massive snake tail disappear off to? It was pretty noticeable in the full size version of the artwork but I don't remember seeing it at all on the in-game model.

I think Lakshmi is probably my favourite Primal of the expansion. Admittedly nothing can top the fight against Shinryu thus far, but Lakshmi just looks very beautiful and her music compliments her character very well.

I just wish there were less groups that were so bad at her on EX mode...

this is not correct.

the weapon and the accessoires were there the whole time. but at the release of ramuh you already got a same or better weapon from CT for much less work and you had better accessoires as well. they later increased the item level of the accessoires in a patch, but the weapons always were not much more than nice glamour.

Lakshmi is the god of beauty and healing and stuff, right? i think, besides of the already stated gameplay reasons, nice jewelry fits the primal better than a weapon from a lore standpoint.

I would have loved Lakshmi weapons, just because I think they would have been similar in quality to Sophia's, as her were truly the most beautiful primal weapons we have had to date.

I wish there was just more Lakshmi everything she's such a great design.

Personally I am glad they gave lakshmi accessories, it made it so the primal is worth doing along side the other 1. Was a issue in 3.0 Bismark was basically clear once and never go again.

I would not be apposed to say it dropping something that can be crafted by crafters and used as glamour though. Would add the glamour ppl want as well as another reason to do the fight. Basically like the fancy glowy primal weapons that can be crafted already.

What if Lakshmi dropped craftable high lvl gear, too? Since we can't have a weapon from her being able to not only wear her accessories and a special version of clothes would nice! I haven't gotten Lakshmi yet and have only seen her art so far, but I LOVE the way she looks and would love it if we could dress like her! :D

I'm ok with one dropping the weapons and the other dropping accessories. Tbh, I was disappointed at the fact that in HW, Bismarck weapons were obsolete before they even dropped because Ravana's were better to farm for. Why take the time and effort to design weapons for both new primals when one will be better than the other? Another option would be to have both drop weapons BUT, they are both the same ilvl and stats, the only difference would be their appearance so it would be personal preference to farm whichever one appealed to the player aesthetically. However, I find that one having weapons and the other having accessories which are an upgrade to what we currently have available or equipped is a much better use of farming time than farming for weapons from both.
