When the issues with Pippin/Raubahn were occurring the NA Data servers, my friends and I decided to go to Omega. No where in the transfer process did it says this was a EU data center and no where did it say I would be stuck for 90 days.
I've logged into web chat support 8 minutes after opening with my position in line to be helped be removed when your Close Of Days ended. I was 14th in line that day when I joined and was not helped..... the entire day......
I called your support line, waited on hold for over 2 hours. All for the customer service representative to tell me to contact a GM.
So I contacted a GM Now(oh by the way this is my fifth ticket before the GM and I finally talked, which has been ongoing for 4 days now). Here goes my discussion with this individual.

Me - Hey There thank you.
Me - I've had a few issues lately with FFXIV and I been subscribed for 900 days and this is really the first time.
GM - Could you provide the names of these players and what they said to you?
ME - Unfortunately I did not screen shot it, it has been a mix of several days, where on the EU servers they are disgracing NA players in Shout/Say in the Kugane and Rhalgr's Reach. I've even been kicked because I did not speak German.
Me - I have five players including myself in a FC that came here on accident due to the Pippin/Raubahn issues. We are all over 900 days subscribed and this is our first complaint. None of us live in the EU and one member can't even connect. Time that with the harassment daily and we are ready to leave or unsubscribe honestly.
GM - I can't investigate a report without names of players. -

Me - Is there anything you might be able to do to help us get back to any NA server? We have been playing together for years, I really don't want to see friends quit due to this. We are willing to pay for the transfers...
ME - I found my screen shots... Into details about the EU harassment towards NA.
GM - As it mentions in the transfer program, players who transfer to Omega are locked for 90 days.
ME - No where did it say this when I went through the steps online that the server I picked was even EU or that I would be locked.

Hmmm not sure how both of you didn't read the warning under the terms of transfer which gave most of the information you missed. So blaming that on SE is a bit childish. Also Forums does show the server locations so not doing your homework before transferring sounds more like lack of planning. Take responsibility.

If your making a decision like that, you know there are other servers out there in different regions, you should have looked into it more before clicking that nice little box that says you agree to terms. It does say 90 day period and has always been for as far as i know... Hard lesson to learn but that is how life works specially in business just be glad it was this transfer and not a home lease :P You can still make parties with passwords at least. Or play it off to get along with people as a temporary solution.Quote:

Honestly I've switched server's before so I was familiar with the process and usually I just pay 18 bucks to go back or whatever. It was always 3 days until this one article which is just crap.

You only stated that they said something... Neither did you tell us what they said nor do you have prove. I don't want you to nameshame here but having a screen or something like that would help a lot. I'm playing on Odin and I'm not a big fan of the community. I know a few americans myself and I play with some from time to time and I never experienced any hostility nor flame, neither did they ever tell me that they are being harrassed due to them being american and really, really rarely do I experience a party kicking somebody because of their nationality (once in ~3 years?). And never did I actually see harrassement about nationality in the shout chat. You need to distinguish between ppl joking (altho it may be not funny) and ppl being serious. The shout chat is mostly a huge pile of ... you know what.
I'm german myself but even in a group with only german ppl I tend to not speak german cause I'm of the opinion that the EU sever are multilingual and that all should be able to at least speak enough english to get trough a simple dungeon and I never got kicked for not speaking german. Take for explample our french friends... No one of them speaks english yet I never saw a french person being kicked because of that.
See I rly don't like online communities and this one counts to that but I do have to protect my european server community here. I can't imagine them being as bad as you make them out to be here. -

Blacklist them and you won't see their shouts? Not hard. This honestly feels like a cheap way of trying to get a free transfer off of Omega because you failed to understand it was an EU server.
