Is there any compensation planned for the server congestion?

I understand this is out of SE's hands in regards to the amount of players trying to login and I'm happy the game is as successful as it is with the new expansion launch, however I'm barely being able to play and losing days off my sub time due to these long queues on Cerberus.

If you're like me and work 9-5 or other similar shifts, it's basically impossible to get a decent amount of playing time since Stormblood's early access release. I'm seriously doubting whether to sub once my next 10/11 days are up because I'm paying for something I can barely use.

I know its a long shot but would be nice for SE to recognize that not everyone can login before peak times due to work/responsibilities or play all through the night when servers are less populated. Even some days of additional sub time once the populations are more stable would mean a lot to players like us.

I don't expect any as part of their problems is that the servers were under a DDoS attack.

Servers weren't always under DDoS attack though. There were at least 2 days of the Early Access where there was no attack.

That's extremely lame and unfortunate, but I believe they were targeting the NA data center which explains why they were having more issues with crashed instances and errors. I'm currently playing on EU :)

I work full time and couldn't get any time off during early access. And as a rational human being I am fully aware that I am entitled to no form of compensation with regards to the technical issues that happened/are happening.

If you think you DO deserve compensation then maybe you need a history lesson of those in history that suffered greatly at any number of man made tragedies and never received an ounch of conpensation. It might put your claim of compensation into perspective for you.

You're not entitled to compensation. This is just the nature of online games like this. You should never buy them at launch if you can't handle a few issues.

negatory. I don't expect they will. Since some of it was DDOS, other times it's because its an MMO and this always happens in MMOs in the first weeks I seriously doubt they'll compensate anything.

It's why I shook my head when i heard people taking a week vacation when Stormblood dropped.

First rule of MMO Vacation: Don't do it the first week. It never works out as intended

About this, they didn't have near the problems we did. About other stuff like when the housing was suppose to be separated between fc and single own house, and instead it came out and wasn't, Very much so, maybe even worst.

Queues are still way too long, They had years though HW to have better ways of transferring and fitting more people with upgraded servers.

Now we can't play because queues are too long so now what?

I brought this up with customer service because I just wanted to be a hormonal bitch and because I was also ready to rip heads off. I pointed out that while players should anticipate some issues with an Early Access the amount we had to deal with was worse than Heavensward and totally unacceptable imho. I think I scared the rep because I said if they wanted to call me they can but someone will be leaving work in tears.

I'm not even at HW content yet and this wouldn't matter even if I didn't buy SB. I can't access the base game content or use my remaining sub days properly. Nothing to do with 'buying at launch' as someone who bought the game 2-3 years ago would still be having the same issues now regardless.

Anyway, well a comp would be nice, but yeah...I'm not seeing it myself.
ARR had a few days added to their times as well, but that was 10x worse
and deemed the worst launch in MMO history. It needs to surpass that lol.

Its actually typical to receive a credit in some form when you are paying for a service which is not being rendered.

Yeah like the PSN outage of 2011. Then there was compensation and rightly so. This is no where near that league in severity.

so i was completly unable to progress the first two days. it sucked but im not going to ask for the whopping 1.50$ that you could argue i was owed because its FUCKING NEGLIGIBLE.

I haven't been able to make a char the server all my friends are on in 4 days (Behemoth). So I bought the expansion and everything just havent been able to play at all.
