i think im the only one who do not like these folks.

When i first saw the screenshots I was not impressed; however, i thought maybe it was just a bad screenshot.

However, I saw them ingame and they look just as bad. It doesn't look like an actual race at all. It looks like someone put on a plastic wolfhead on and then strapped a tail on its back

The whole face is just one horrible looking plastic looking mold (its not my video card...Ive got a geforce 1080). What you see in that pic is what you see in the game

Honestly, I wouldn't miss them at all if they somehow disappeared in the story

I'd love to finally have a race that deviates from the "very much human facial features" theme... body type is still fairly similar to humanoid, so I don't think they'd have to change much in terms of gear sets?

I would like to see Viera first, but Lupin are second on my list :)

10000% this. it looks cheap and poorly made.

Why do people want this? Even Worgen in WoW look 1000 times better than that. And that game's fricking old already.

Let's just give the playerbase a race that use the same face and color for every character with the body of what seems to be an already existing race. And no female. That's a pretty neat idea !

Who's for it ? I'll tell you what...not me. :)

At least the Lupin have a better design than female Worgen.

I think if they did release it as playable, there would have to be a big overhaul of the faces -- to allow players to have expressions and such and make them more fluid with the body.

Lupin look horrible, like a life-less poorly made, unfinished and unpolished concept model. It's as if they are wearing a giant Halloween costume mask over their real head. It's so bad, anytime one of them are onscreen it pulls me completely of out the immersion of this otherwise wonderfully created world they've designed.

The model needs a complete overhaul. I'd rather play a Kojin because at least they look decently designed.

They are ugly, and my guess would be future beast tribe quests.

Kojin have the same static heads. All the beast tribes do; no reason to rig that when they have minimal speaking roles.

Exactly -hopefully they are never playable...definitely a highlight of FF14 - no ugly playable races (yet...) I still hate that WoW added Worgen.

I'm scared if people use them as worst furries. Still they look cool.

No worse than the existing Miqo'te ERP with barbed dongs.

since yoshida doesn't want bunny boys, release Lupin for male and viera for female only. Just want my viera is all :D

Thank you, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks the head looks really weird and badly rendered. xD I'm not against introducing a beastial race by any means (and would actually LOVE something like that), but I really don't like how these lupin look.

WoW's Worgen are better rendered than the Lupin.
