Anyone else having a hard time with -ara spells?

I can post screen shots to prove it, but i can cast any regular spell almost 100% of the time with no problem, however, i can only cast -ara spells about 50% of the time

is there a glitch with recast timers showing incorrectly or something? anyone else getting this?

its killed me a few times and making comboing sort of rare to complete

I don't understand your plight. -ara spells have nearly triple the recast as normal-tiered spells.

but my action bar is saying they are available, so i hit the spell but i constantly get "Thundara cannot be used right now" which im not getting on any other spells other than -ara spells.

because of that i have to try to spam the spell until it goes off.

ive also noticed the lack of the charge bar appearing when the spell finally does go off.
it seems instant after getting "thundara cannot be used right now" a good 3 or 4 times. this is why im having a hard time completing any combos.

I can't speak for others, but this patch does seem to have exacerbated the already existing glitch that causes the cooldowns to become out of sync. I do not have THM leveled, but have been experiencing a similar problem on LNC as well, though it's not too hard to work around, I just never take for granted that an ability is ready just because it says it is.

well the lack of the charge bar appearing is making odd to time. some times the spell will go off a split second after i get a few "cannot be used right now" and i go oh..... but it just did....even though you said it cant

melee can be worked around a bit easier (not that any of this should have to be worked around in the first place) because there is not charge bar or extra "confirm" to have to press every time you try to activate your WS.

Happened to me once. I went to cast Blizzara and instead of actually casting the spell, it went into cooldown and nothing was cast.

k so its not just me, that happened to me too.
i read someone else saying blizzara is acting like a WS for some people?

so far things are really buggy.

Its part of the old recast bugg which seems to get worse every patch, usualy(90% of the time) it will start happening whens you set traits/abilites or just even enter that screen sometimes.
Only way to solve is to relogg fully (close XIV completely) and the only way to prevent it is to not use abilites & traits menu unless you absolutely have too.

The bugg will make your spell cooldowns show up incorrectly on your action bar, can show ready 2-10sec before they actualy are on, its very frustrating and confusing when it happens, and many times it makes the game feel like unplayable.

This is fixed for me by simply /shutting down the game and logging back in.

im just now playing my CNJ and i can confirm i havent gotten a single cooldown effect on a single nuke on my action.
