stealth didnt work?
yeah stealth works perfectly but i till hate halatali, problem? :P
yeah hala sucks for gathering but man do those ore fly off the shelves in the wards
Iron Lake is where the Party's at~~
Electrum is good stuff.
If you're doing leves, I tend to go around the northwest for the gather from three spots one to avoid that nest of ants south and west of the aetheryte. Just doing normal grind gathering, I don't seem to run into ants too much though.
the ants arent the only thing that get me crazy (also, im speaking of grinding ore, not leves), it's the ants, plus the damn alumen, plus your skill to find that logging point that lead you inside one of that montains (that usually yoy have to go round it) and sometimes logging point is under floor ... very annoying, i prefer ironlake, even treespeak, but the electrum ore is around halatali and i need it to level up goldsmith now /cry i hate halatali too much xD
Speaking specifically on the topic of the distance between gathering points not being balanced throughout Thanalan, we will be making adjustments moving forward.
If there are any other locations you are concerned with, please let don’t hesitate to let us know. :)
Entire Thanalan is a nightmare, plz adjust
As a botanist I have to say that Treespeak also has a terrible spread (Mainly due to the corridor layout) of the area. To be honest all the Grade V nodes are odly placed aside from Iron Lake it stands out at the top due to having next to no agro and being a straight line.
Secondary nodes in the following locations need adjusting: adding to
there should be at least 3 in each region, the following dont comply with this
Skull Valley: Only 1 Quarry and 2 Harvest nodes
Iron Lake: 2 Spearfish and 2 QUarry nodes
Bloodshore: 1 Quarry node
Humblehearth: While there are 3 spearfishing nodes, the 2 to the northwest are right on top each other thus causing each other to bug, and you cant actualy farm both of them, they cant as the same node, so they need to be moved apart.
Not only are they distanced too far in Thanalan and Coerthas but they're also difficult to see. When a sandstorm kicks up in Thanalan especially, at least for me it blinds out all the nodes except logging trees. In several spots in Thanalan you still have to run through crowds of high level aggressive monsters gathered around your node. The stealth abilities don't really help in this case, as to level there you're not high enough level yourself yet to use the stealth ability needed to avoid that range of monster.
I hope these things are adjusted, gathering should be a fun and relaxing hobbyist activity. I'd like to see it made as least frustrating or troublesome as possible.
Grid is annoying to btn and mnr at only because your abilities usually fail to tell you if the node is on the upper or lower levels unless your extremely close to them
Camp Horizon got one of the worst miner node spread possible. 400+ yalms run almost all the time.
Treespeak's Ixali spawns were also added at a terrible location. Mob placement guy obviously doesn't do gathering. (22-14) harvesting/quarry especially, off-hand with stealth is very slow and could have been avoided. (19-13) Ixali camp is also annoying due to node spawning directly in it or being a corridor that takes forever to cross with stealth.
I also agree with halatali being an annoying place to gather at, especially for making you run around mountains so much. I'm also wondering why most zones if not all are limited to 5 nodes. Huge zones for example, could have a larger amount of nodes.
in all fairness, when they did the node adjustments due to agro mobs, it was before the beast camps were added
but when they added the camps, they shoulda adjusted the spawns again, treespeak in specific got hit pretty bad by this with some of its spawns(they could be worse)
we do need to see some adjustments to nodes not being inside beastmen camps though
I posted a thread regarding this. Hopefully you can pass it on. :)

So grade 5 Thanalan is just the worst place to mine, it's infuriating. I can deal with every other mining spot but that one can drive one to the brink of madness. Placement of mining points there is possibly one of the dumbest things I've seen in the game. Alot of the times you will get a message that the point is 100 yalms away but it turns out it's inside the mountain, so instead of traveling 100 yalms you have to circle the mountain and travel about 400 yalms. When you're done with that you have to get out and travel to another mountain. You have to travel 3 times as far as in any other g5 place I've mined. It's not fun!
