"We’ve also noticed a trend that there are fewer and fewer people actually going out to do these instanced dungeons on the roulette to go and collect the Allagan Tomestones."
Gee, I wonder why.
It certainly has nothing to do with the gear inside being outdated on arrival that doesn't even bother to provide a filler weapon until you've got your tome/raid one. Nor does it have anything to do with it being less a roulette and more a coin flip that ends up weighted toward the MSQ dungeon.
Nope. Not at all. Not these things.
Guess we won't see any glamour egis for a while still. Oh well.
Welcome to all instanced dungeons in any MMO ever? At least after the first run, the community settles on the path of least resistance/time spent for rewards. There is a reason why any successful MMO (and some others) have moved away from stuff like classic WoW blackrock depths dungeons and such. Its more work to design, and the playerbase prefers 15 minute speedruns anyway.
Damn Yoshi for saving Protect. 30min buff skills are just boring.
"hardcore content that you can challenge with four players"
This is what I want..... screw the 4th dungeon.... I'm on bored
That's basically anything though. Can't really trust random groups to cooperate if they can all go any which way they choose. See Palace of the Dead and people losing their minds over people looking for chests/not looking for chests. See old Diadem and the random people bailing to go gather or try to do something not sitting on one island. Honestly can't say if new Diadem is any better about that, after the last one you can't pay me to give it a look.
All that rage aside, Diadem provided potential best in slot stuff and was dropped by nearly everyone once that was no longer the case. Palace of the Dead? Good weapons, even if not the best, that help people to catch up on the most important gear slot. Expect PotD to die, outside of leveling groups, once the next Deep Dungeon is added, and watch that die fast if it doesn't provide a weapon.
So, if i understand correctly, he definitly want people to wait and see Omega savage before saying White Mage new mecanics are bad?
Hmmmm.
Really curious to see how the healing will be then.
Maybe they did consider the fact that healers had to have more mecanics to heal and maybe that cure spam will be necessary after all?
Why does none of these questions address the fact that AST and SCH have raid buffs and WHM doesn't?
Is it so hard to phrase this as a question instead of having some vague thing about "everyone is freaking out about whm" which in turn gets some redundant response like "this is from an early build, all the skill tooltips are going to change, wait to see the changes". Without any acknowledgement of the healer dps raid buff situation.
the problem is people don't do dungeons for the capped stones - they want the uncapped stones for relic quest. but when the latest dungeons give less uncapped stones than dungeons from previous patches it's obvious that people don't go in the new dungeon then.
i am SO sick of ARF. they just have to adjust the uncapped tomestone reward in favor of the new dungeons and people will start running expert roulettes again...
PLD has only been as MT-only as its partner has been a WAR refusing in for Unchained, in favor of an extra Fell Cleave. How the hell does a player habit of being too lazy to tank swap without a specific mechanic/gimmick excuse the change/nerf to our stance dancing?
They should just delete tomes entirely. Clearly the process favors spamming certain easier/faster content until they max out their gear and then have no further reason to do the content. Not that I like the RNGesus drop system either.
I think the Alexander raid's were the right compromise of "parts for gear" without RNG'ing the drops. But the problem was the parts were not guaranteed either. Once you have that gear, why would you ever run it again?
Okay we have confirmation that 2 dungeon expert roulettes are back. Good. I know a lot of people will be happy about this.
I'm guessing either Deep Dungeon and the Zodiac Braves or the Great Crystal might be the new area we are going to in the new 24 mans. Would be cool if they implemented the "darkness" of deep dungeon or the maze like labyrinth of the Great Crystal but ultimately I feel like it will just be another pretty hallway... sigh fingers crossed though for Judge Gear from FFXIIQuote:
Yoshida: First and foremost, the Ivalice alliance saga, that has been referenced within Final Fantasy Tactics or Final Fantasy 12, and the Ivalice we’re introducing in Return to Ivalice; how they are related is actually the biggest mystery of the content. So we can’t say anything at the time but we do want to mention that Final Fantasy Tactics is celebrating its 20th anniversary. So it might be worth it to dig it up and try playing it again. If asked whether FF12 versus Final Fantasy Tactics [would be more worth catching up on], we would encourage to get a refresher on Final Fantasy Tactics. BUT! We are releasing the HD remaster, The Zodiac Age!!! [laughter]
I love this game, i really do,
but the very comment that the devs discussed removing protect,
and yes, they probably could have...
is the microcosm to me of every reason this game will never be as good as FFXI.
Best MMO in the last decade? Sure. But it still smashes its head against the glass ceiling of streamlined simplification.
