looks like one of them is casting a song at 0:54 and atleast 1 of every job, 2 glads lol
They summon the King! (And the song sounds like a remix from VI!) Mog's Theme Which is plain ole'awesome-sauce!

Can't wait for this fight. I'm going to have to listen to the original mog theme music from VI again, but the music from this video keeps making me think of the Nightmare Before Christmas theme :)

i could.not.care.less. about the music or the level of "cute" this fight brings- those two things are 100% irrelevant to me.
the only thing i care about are the fight mechanics and its fun factor (which to me has nothing to do with cute or music)
im wondering how the lack of crowd control will work out. i also wonder how susceptible (if at all) the moogles are to magic attacks, or are mages only going to be used for healing with the occasional Prot/SS .
Looks fun, hopefully will add some longevity, but i doubt it.
I also think it will be mrd x 6, conj/thm x 2 :(
It will only be x6 MRD if the moogles are easily killed. If they must be slept, bound or by any other means paralyzed AoE damage might not be primary factor in killing them.
Which is why I think Shadowbind might get some really good use in this fight. Move them to the edge > Shadowbind > move to other edge of arena to avoid damage from the bound ones.
Also seems like the mini-moogles work in conjunction with Moggle XII, so they might actually be something like the nails from ifrit to weaken Moggle himself and make him killable? And to mix it up from the Ifrit fight it would be interesting to have them do the "big move" each time a Moogle is killed (but gets weaker as more and more moogles die). That would counter act an AoE spam method, because you'd be dead if it spammed the big move right back lol.
This is all speculation for the most part obviously, take it as a grain of salt if you like.
The music is great—but the battle looks very boring. Hopefully it will be different when actually playing it.
That being said HOPEFULLY SE has learned its lesson early on and balanced most of the classes semi-close to eachother and AoE spam wont be the best way to handle adds. But I wouldn't hold your breath.Quote:

It might act the same but the strength might be way off (just like how the "new" sentinel doesn't block 60% of that magic anymore; based on the video)
i did play FFXI for four years.
this isnt FFXI.
i havent played a battle in FFXIV that consisted of several mini bosses with 1 main boss.
since i have played other MMOs i am under the impression that crowd control should be a factor.
why would sleep be your only means for CC? what about gravity, slow, magic stuns, bind... pretty much everything else? why cant future mini bosses/bosses have a small susceptability to some CC in FFXIV?
CC is a very enjoyable mechanic to me and if the bosses are of a certain difficulty then it CC wouldnt cheapen a fight, only add to the amount of strategies.
GLA Abl. 6 Increases target's enmity. Traits may trigger an AoE and a chance to inflict Blind.
∟GLA WS 8 Self AoE Increases enmity of all enemies within range. Can only be used immediately after blocking an attack.
∟PGL WS 4 Self AoE AoE attack.
Combo: PGL WS 1, Bonus: Chance to inflict Slow.
∟LNC WS 2 Self AoE AoE attack.
Combo: LNC WS 1, Bonus: Chance to inflict Stun.
∟ARC WS 3 Target AoE Deals damage to all enemies within range of the target. Low accuracy.
Combo: ARC WS 2, Bonus: Increased accuracy.
∟ARC WS 4 Frontal AoE Delivers a close-range, cone-shaped attack in the target's direction.
Combo: ARC WS 1, Bonus: Fivefold attack on target.
Why take 6 mrd when other classes can do the same ?
Some things incase you did not notice
- Music is a recomposition of "Nightmare Before Christmas", which fits perfectly, if you think about it ingame and real life, amazing song.
- THM has [SIZE="7"]3715[/SIZE] MP
- ARC has 2326 MP
- ARC doesnt have a choco? lol
- The new ? icon, dont know what it is,
- The broken icon wont be in game its in all vids
- There are v2 icons above it
- No more Shell magic (or they not using it? doubtful)
- GLA has almost [SIZE="6"]5k[/SIZE] hp
- New "Sword+" Icon as an effect on some people, be new skill?
- New skills, (Arch row 3, skill 5, 0:34 time)
- Almost everyone is using Food
I wasn't very pumped for this, but now I am, looks very cool. But I do feel it will turn into a MRD smash. We will have to see now that attribute selection is back.
The moogle theme song predates Nightmare Before Christmas.

The music isn't important for the fight per se, but for the entire experience it's quite important. It's what make a great game a masterpiece
either way, if there is a video at middle of battle mean we ll have to skip it again because the mobs already have player on target or attacking player while they watch the video ?
Im more curious as to why the Lalafell had Exc next to his name for class.
I keep thinking Nightmare before xmas when I see the choco fight xD
