Nothing we didn't know already lol. Still have to guess which piece of gear yield higher rates of individual materia.
Thats ok, only thing I've seen on the first few pages have been whining and complaints. Just wanted to make sure for those of us who didn't see the offical list know where to get it.
Yea, but I think most of us already knew materia was slot based.
However, different pieces of gear for each slot have different probabilities for the materia within the slot. Figuring that out is still up to us, which is fine with me.
Huh, I wasn't aware of this chart, thanks for posting it! :D
I've been trying to keep a log of every gear-to-materia conversion my LS members and I have witnessed, to see what items turn into what materia and see if there were any trends, and from the looks of what I had gathered, most gear will often turn into a materia that can be attached to that type of gear. After a quick look at that chart, it looks like it confirms my theory. :p
Not really what I was implying.
Example:
Fingerless Raptorskin Gloves: High probability of INT materia
Dated Reinforced Iron Mitt Gauntlets: High probability of STR materia
I've tested those 2 myself and there is a definite difference between the two. On the raptors I got 6 INT materia out of 9 gloves and not a single STR. While with the Gauntlets I got 4 STR materia and only 1 INT out of 8 gloves. Yea, it's really not a big enough sample size to confirm anything, but other pieces of gear seem to follow the same rules from my experience.
I knew a lot of this, but it's still nice to have a solid chart from SE. Thanks, first time seeing it. :)
lol... some of those have to be like 99% to 1% odds <_<
I just turn my gear into materia anyway, regardless, haha.
Thank you for posting the list. it is good info.
I would quote, but multiple people have mentioned it, so. For those of you wondering (for example) "Which item will net me Bloodthirst IV more often?" or "What materias am I likely to get from <insert piece of gear>?" I google'd these by the by.

hmm like Earth Materia, I've been look for this one for long time.
It can be mounted on Pug arm/ 2 hand Con Arm/ 2 hand thm arm/ feet
But it can be get from Pug arm (no surprise)/ 2 hand thm arm/ and Mrd arm
not from feet or con
tricky thing...
I've converted 22 rings from L38-41 none of them is Parry. Did you miss mark the earring to ring?
I did mis-marked 2 of mine before and they yield DEX... SE's chart now agree with me.
However, I never get Paralysis Resistance+ nor Petrification Resistance+.
So maybe you still right.
A member of my linkshell theories that the higher tier materia chances are affected by the % dmg repaired of the item so 100% repaired yields greater chances of higher tier materia success then if the item had 50% dmg.
We are still testing this theory atm but it seems likely the % dmg affects the outcome.
Thanks for posting this link.
I hope someone updates Lodestone's Main Page with this information. It doesn't show the level of detail we'd hoped for, but it's a start. :)
Weren't we supposed to get a full list ? ie : This specific gear mights change into those materias ?
really... thats all there is to materia? this is the first i know of it... and... its accually kinda like now that i know about it
its all just stat buffs.. wish it was cooler
