it's in the caster section, but it'd look good on either, imo
This one was also pretty decent. I mostly like it because we don't really have much in the way of capes.

My problem with most of these entries is that they are female-only. Under these circunstances, if I were a dev, I would just pick either a neutral gender outfit or one that has both genders designed. There are many I personally love, so I will leave this in the hands of the dev. team and pray for the best.

You have to think of how it will look once its implemented. They may apply some changes to it which might end up in a more simplistic design, possibly at the expense of those details you're so fond of :/
In general, a lot of entries look phenomenally boring or like a redo of already existing gear. NOW, I do not mean to say all of them are bad, but it does disappoint to see that a lot of entries they picked show that a lot of people obviously want more gear thats similar to already existing gear and I dont get why :/ You'd think there'd be finally a chance to see something thats a bit different from the usual things we get.

Most of these designs are not originals, there's plenty games out there, that have the exact same style/color and even print. I would like to see some of the designs win, that are actual original and not some copy and paste off other games or older series. While I would have liked to support the OP's suggestion, first style if you look closely is the lvl 50 MNK AF gear with some added swirls and glitter here and there, would I like to see that? No because that belongs to the mnk and not to healers/casters. 2nd one, sad to say but we have robes and most of the 53-58 leveling dungeon are dropping nearly the same exact design. I will have to go with the others posters on this, and say that we got already enough robes and we don't need more of these.

It comes to question on what qualifies... if I was a Dev I would look at it this way.
1. Is this gear able to be implemented in the game while honoring its original concept?
2. Does this armor fit FF14's style?
3. Does this armor fit with the caster type?
4. Does this armor neutrally fit well with the casters and all races?
5. Does this armor stand out compared to others? Does it have flash?
I think the most important is having a set that equally fits all the jobs. Some sets feel like they fit a specific job, like the Carbuncle set. -
