unable to complete version check [20458][24530][20457][410] for PS4

This is what I tried so far

. Deleted both files in application saved folder
- uninstalled and reinstalled the game
- tried different connection types ( Wireless vs Wired)

Any suggestions?

Also getting this error. How to fix it?

For the record, this error is keeping us getting it from playing the game. A quick fix for it would be much appreciated!

I am also suffering from this. Is it happening on pc and psn?

Have you tried going on safe mode?

I am having the exact same issue on PS4 as well.

As soon as I enter my password it tried to confirm it and instead it just opens a window giving these error message codes. I contacted SE, of course no replies in over 12 hours.

Something needs to be done about this, I agree. They don't even address the issue

For PS4 try to configure your connection to a public DNS Server (Like Verizon's which worked for me) to get through the "kinks." Once you get through one kink try a different DNS or your default connection again. Option 2 is by using a VPN.

I don't know if it was coincidence or not but deleting and reinstalling the game (I use a physical copy, always) got me in.

To reinstall would be 20GB of download even having the Disc, way too much.

Besides as thread starter said they've done all that too.

Try using a different DNS server. Preferably Level 3's, as that's what SE uses for their ISP backbone

Yes and I tried some past resolutions involving internet connection too to no avail. Was just saying reinstalling worked for me if not by coincidence it was just ready to work so it may for others. Past cases of this happening indicate various things working for some and not others so good to try every angle anyway.

Believe me when I say reinstalling was something I did not wanna do lol

Seems to still be going on, they don't even update the log in screen saying ppl might be having issues, that they're looking into it or that they're even doing anything about it. No use using the USELESS contact us service, they take days to reply to a normal message, and ignore all the ones of ppl actually claiming there is anything wrong with their game.

It's pathetic to pay for this game and it either doesn't work properly, lags, DCs, errors or constantly offline for updates/patches. I wonder how much money/time I've lost that i've paid for over my 3 years due to patches/updates/hotfixes alone? I'd estimate well over a 30 day sub I've paid for and stolen off me.

It would seem this is unfortunately a common and recurring technical issue that no dev or specialist in technical support has shown any interest in addressing, helping, etc. It tends to happen most if not only during emergency maintenance. HERE is an old post i found in the forums showing exact same problems. Hopefully the suggested means by other players can help some. Personally, I'm STILL trying to figure this mess out. A sure 100% fix would be greatly appreciated if found out. Even better if we can get a dev or technical support to actually give us feedback on this issue. For record, I own a physical copy of HW on PS4.

I tried restoring liscenses multiple times, disconnected internet, powered off, turned back on and reconnected, still same issues. Only thing i have not tried was deleting all data, but I'd really rather not resort to this unless it is absolutely necessary.

I have done all of these too multiple times, and no love for me either

Same error here. Nothing had changed with my internet.

It's an ISP error, just hotspot your phone to your PS4 and than go into game and it will update. Did this on mine as well as my sons and no problem.

I am unfamiliar with the process in doing this. As it turns out i have other updates for more games but they only download, not install.

This is a problem with ISP/backbone routing (specifically the Level3/Ormuco handoff in Canada), not SE's game or servers. It'll hopefully get better when the NA datacenter is moved later this year.

Until then, connecting from a different physical connection (like a phone WiFi hotspot) often helps, or changing your DNS to 8.8.8.8 or 4.2.2.1, or using a VPN while patching.

Same with my PS4 I'm thinking maybe this is a Sony issue rather then a FFXIV one? My SMITE needed to update so it would download but not install at all.

The mobile phone hotspot thing worked, updated launcher immediately.

I don't know if this fixed it or if it was a coincidence. But I tried everything here and nothing worked. Seems like for some reason my littlebigplanet download wouldn't work. Every time I reset my ps4 it would try to start the lbp update again. So I deleted the update and the game off my system. Restarted. The XIV update popped up after that

I can't do anything over here either. Incredibly aggravating, mostly because I'm just coming back :/

I'm getting this crap again..... client doesn't even attempt an update on launch.

Well, I've had no luck since servers went up.

Nobody seems to know what the exact cause is either.

I'm having the same issue.

For anyone else still having this issue, changing my DNS to Level 3's and restarting my PS4 fixed it right away, after trying multiple other useless solutions since last night. I'm not sure if there are any rules regarding linking to them or anything, so I won't post them here, but a quick Google search should help you find them. Hope this works for you guys.

I'm having the same issues, the customer center saying we have to change a bunch of setting I have no idea about. They did something during maintenance that has some serious bugs to it if this issue isn't fixed by SE then I guess I have no choice but to quit playing the game

I don't want to have to try and change settings that work for everything else just to make one game work, and again I don't know anything about how to change things like the dns or what ever else there is to change.

I started playing 14 because I enjoy playing final fantasy games, I just want them to work when I want to play. I understand maintenance needing to be done to keep things going but when the maintenance cause's the game to stop working then they screwed something up. I just upgraded a few months ago to a ps4 from the ps3 for stormblood because they're stopping the ps3 version and now its not working on the ps4 and from what I've been reading here on the PC as well.

If they don't fix this issue then I'm going to have to quit playing the game because I will not go into settings and stuff like that and messing around with stuff I don't understand just to be able to play a game!!
