I don't get it. The Ifrit weapons are the best in game... and they're basically overkill for the content we have right now anyways. Why not add some cool armor or something? More weapons just seems pointless. AND they're adding more weapons with Garuda?? WHY? WTF???
Is it supposed to be.. Ifrits weps to kill moogles, moogle weapons to kill Garuda? Seems kinda pointless. And then what with those weapons? Once you get them there's really nothing else to do.
Except maybe defeat Ifrit with 5 archers? I don't see why I would keep playing. Especially if the weapons aren't even that great, besides decent looks.
Why more weapons?

All this were getting anyways, is going to be "Legendary" when 2.0 comes around and wont be able to get it again.. so more or less were getting " Collector's items" So even if they are all weapons it wont make much difference come 2.0

We have no idea what the stats could be they could be situational so ifrit weapons for mobs weak against fire, garuda weapons for mobs weak against wind etc etc etc which gives them all a use.
Also did we really need another thread about this, its the 3rd or 4th I have seen and they are all on the first page, read before posting. -

Yeah, I think some other item types like armor might be nice as well. Having a mat drop would be nice too since we could then just craft whatever kind of item we'd like.

Armor takes longer to code, than weapons. You make the weapon once and it scale to the character. Armor you have to touch up and adjust for every race and sex in the game.
The short, weapon are quicker to code and they are already working on Job-specific armor.
