Would anyone like a version of the i270 relic without the glow?

The glows are cool, but the base weapon is also really cool. The MCH weapon, the one I got, for example, looks really cool as a base (it reminds me of an Allagan tomelith kinda), but the glow just completely overpowers it. Gauss barrel (which I really like and do not want to turn off) looks a little weird when its sheathed since its so far away to account for the glow.

Would you like to see a version of the i270 anima without the glow as well? I know I really would. In prior relics and relic steps we had two versions-- without glow and with. I hope we see that here sometime.

I wouldn't mind i270 without glows, but the weapons are made non-spectacular to account that their main feature is the glow itself. I believe the only exceptions in this case are the MCH and BRD weapons.

As long as it doesn't interfere with us getting a sexy glow for 275 I'm all for a glow-less dyeable 270 replica.

I want all weapons to glow. Even the lv1 stuff...

I don't like the glow, so I'd love it if there was a version without it.

The glow is what make people not put a glamour on them.

the drk weapon for sure but if I wanted a war 270 without the glow I can just glamour a weathered axe instead.

The pld weapon without the glow would be incredibly boring.

The BLM weapon would be a joke without the glow. It's already a sad tiny ball of violet frizzle instead of giant, shiny beautiful seals like the other weapons have, but when it's sheathed, it might as well be a lvl 5 weapon.
Take away the glow when drawn and it really is nothing but a lvl 5 staff without any decorations.

Warriors already have that option. They just buy it off the market board for what, 800 gil? :p

I don't personally mind the glow, but I like to apply dye so that it changes the tint of the glow. . . granted, I have the bard weapon which glows pretty plain white, I know the other weapons have more colorful glows so I don't know how that would affect it. Again, that's the only suggestion I have about this.

I'd rather dye the physical weapon than the glow, personally. Good thing I'm far more likely to get that than folks are to get dyeable glows and particle effects, I won't have to worry about being disappointed!

As far as the subject matter of the thread proper, I'd love to be able to acquire a no-glow "Replica" in the future.

I kind of like the glowing runes on the I270 drk weapon, but why is it golden... Would rather it be a black/red or pruple/ black smoky effect and not some golden glow a pld would be proud of.

Non glow WHM relic would look incredibly underwhelming lol

Thank god it isn't, I wouldn't have bothered getting it if it were stupid edgy darkness crap again. There are plenty of weapons out there for you.

Most of the weapons would look lame without the glow.

I would support a "/visor" styled perpetual emote for weapons with a glow that sets them on and off at will.

As a NIN I can only wonder if they forgot to turn the glow slider up on ours. If you don't want yours, we'll gladly take it! Everyone else's is overdone by comparison.

The one upside to the obnoxious glows the animas have now is it makes it really easy for me to find dead healers to raise in dun scaith.

I'd like the PLD weapons with out the fire, and just the runes glowing, but I don't mind them as they are now. Bit much, but its my favorite one yet.

I wouldn't turn my glows off but it's not a big deal if people do.

If anything, we need more glow. In fact, I would love it if my weapons made my entire body glow.

What we really need is the option to have different colors for the glow. For example, DRK should not have a golden glow for the relic.

To be honest the glow is about the only thing i like on the blm relic and some other jobs if it was not for that i would just glam over it

That sure is like, your opinion, man.

If you don't like it, there are probably a dozen other stupid edgy looking devil swords for you to choose from. Hell, every stage of the anima until now has been big ugly darkness swords. Whining about a Dark Knight weapon with a golden glow is as stupid as whining about a Warrior weapon with a blue glow.

The weapon sheathed = the weapon with no glow, which is the way you'll be looking at it most of the time.

Deathbringer, Nothung, and Guillotine of the Tyrant are all undeniably textbook edgy chuuni weapons, dude. Don't try and turn my distaste of improper use of the word around when I'm using it on things it absolutely describes.

And there's nothing "invalid" about Warriors and the color Blue, not sure what you're talking about.

Anyway, since you don't really have any response besides deflection I'm gonna join you in that and stop arguing aesthetics with a guy who dresses as Cloud Strife and complains a weapon is "invalid" for Dark Knight unless it's dripping blood and pulsing with the colors of his darkness-tinged soul.

As for your "response", it is quite simple. I stated my opinion about the color not fitting and then you come throwing edgy memes. What is even there to say? Do you think your initial bashing to be worth debating with?

The color "fits" just fine, you just don't like it.

They really drop the ball on the base eapon design for the anima, i just glamour a zeta weapon over it.

I don't really care if they do it without the glow, I glamour it...

The thing I want is that they stop making gigantic weapons!!! We're not in Monster Hunter.... The NIN daggers are bigger than PLD swords, as usual and my bow.... Well... I look like a Lallafel using a Roe bow... It's ridiculous !

I honestly hate almost every single i270 relic weapon. The glow is the main attractiveness about the weapon, but underneath, most of the weapons are so plain or too boxy for me. I wound up glamouring most of my relics to a previous step.

I love the 270 MCH relic (enough that relic-hating me finally completed one), but I'd much prefer it without the glowing dragon head or whatever. You've got my support.

I wish I could equip something else than a book when playing smn. I wouldn't mind if it comes with or without glow, just remove the character/job/race/gender restriction all together and we're good to go.
