Do their horns act like ears or do they have holes under their hair like lizards have on the side of their heads. I'm so confused.
IIRC, the answer was:"They pick up vibrations over their horns, which are hollow."
Bone vibration through the horns. Humans actually have something similar, which is why we can hear our own voice so clearly when we speak, and why it sounds so different to us than to everyone who hears it the normal way. So then of course one could very easily make the argument that the would sounds slightly different to Au Ra than it does to everyone else.
AuRa-lly
:D
How the hear is not one of tough questions about them.
There are other more intriguing questions about them.
Like how they sleep.
How they kiss if they kiss.
How they you know "relieve" their stress.
How they can wear clothes with scales and horns. (their attires seem the normal ones everyone has so no special designs for them).
Why they look so angry all the time.
The male Au Ra look angry. The female Au Ra look like they could break if a small dust particle fell on their nose or something.
How do Au Ra procreate without the size difference making it awkward, or is awkward love-making their curse?

Where are people still getting this idea that Au Ra is written with an apostrophe?
Not my fault there's a height difference of roughly 60 cm between males and females
My circle has agreed upon that despite the actual size of males, they're all of adequate proportions and are quite confident in themselves. Which didn't explained why so many females look as if they are perpetually displeased with life. They clearly look that way because they are.

Well how do lizards have kids? They lay eggs....!
Little Au Ra hatchlings must be so cute!
Well there is also the possibility of little Au Ra tadpoles!
Yes I realize the irony that me as Au Ra not knowing how we are born... My Au Ra parents never explained it to me how it works! :p
AuRa have belly buttons.
Only replying to this one because I see it questioned a lot. As an individual that has a large height difference in comparison to her partner, my fiance being 6'1" and myself being 4'4", I assure you that height difference doesn't really matter in terms of procreating. Do it just like everyone else; maybe with a stool added for particular things but overall the same. :p
I become stressed out thinking about how Au Ra bloody sleep.
I don't think the Devs thought very hard when it came to how Au Ra would work in the world.
How the sleep depends on the horns. Most of the horns that stick out far from the head are forward pointing which would allow them to sleep on their backs. Others like mine are fairly close to the skull so with a soft enough pillow I reckon they could sleep on their side reasonably comfortably.
Alternatively they could sleep sat up. Allowing the base of the skull and horns to rest on to of the back cushions. This would be comfortable as long as you're used to sleeping like this.
I spend far too long thinking about these things.
Just drill 2 holes in your bed, put your horns there lol

Or how lizards hear. Google Image search, Lizard ears
It wouldn't be hard to imagine holes for ears underneath the horns.
Perhaps try perceiving them as not a human race with animal attributes but an actual evolutionary branch of their own? And really... just holes in their heads is more interesting than the horns themselves serving as an auditory sensor? ARE NARWHALS JUST NOT COOL ENOUGH NOW!?
