Not that I cared much about this little debate, but I think it's quite humorous now considerinng the name of the item. :'D

Very compelling

It should be Zhu Que or Suzaku imo, it'd fit better with Kirin. But it's not as recognizable as phoenix for most westerners.

It should not, because the Japanese for this is 鳳凰 (houou), not 朱雀 (Suzaku). They have some aesthetic similarities, but it's just a kind of mythical creature, not a singular entity.

Not that "phoenix" is really any more correct, but still.

I'm pretty sure it's called Houou in the Japanese version. "Firebird" just doesn't fit as well. In anycase, it's still not the phoenix so OP is still wrong

I did find this funny because so many people told me it wasn't phoenix..and told me to do T12 (which I actually did mind you) if I wanted to see a real phoenix.

It's funny cause we are going from collecting ponies to pigeons (well ok hawks) to turtles... And in 4.0, the birds are going to fly....underwater? wut? (from one of the yoship interviews)

Also I guess Phoenix is a ok name for it...but it's pretty generic since it kind of devalues the Phoenix boss's story from coil... But I suppose Phoenix can be a type of bird and not necessarily a specific bird?

Either way, if they picked a specific legendary bird's name it would have been cooler to me (in my head cannon anyway! don't judge my RPs! j/k). I mean Kirin is a type of legendary creature too and not a specific one also? It's kind of like a unicorn mount, yea it's legendary but we got a bunch of them.... in dreamland anyway.

Just if they are gonna draw the line, it's seems weird to me they draw it there... I mean in 2.0 they were handing out Excalibur's like they were tic tacs and now its like "no no, it's a mount, it can't have a specific name cause it wouldn't make sense if everyone had one!"... um... ok
