New recipes and new items in the new patch 3.5

Hi everyone, is it only me that cannot open the link for new items and new recipes in the patch 3.5 notes? Every time I hit on these two links in the patch notes, the links will direct me to the whole patch notes again. For a full-time crafter like me, it is like the end of the world LOL. Please share your experience on this, thank you very much in advance. Happy crafting^^:confused:

Hello, yeah the only thing they are showing in the pre patch notes are some of the changes made to current recipes. They won't release information on the new recipes till maintenance has started.

Okay. Thanks. Do you expect some new specs recipes? And new rotations might be needed?

Pure speculation, but in the patch notes under System, New Achievement Items added - doesn't that look like that other picture they released of crafters with new tools?

I bet it will be Luminary 2.0. And how much I wish it builds off of Luminary 1.0. If we are fortunate, it will be something like "create X thousand Tier 6 items" but I doubt it'll be that.

They'll make the requirement ridiculous.

They could always make those new tools achievements themselves, like how every step on an Anima is an achievement. Grind for the tool, get 20 points.
I guess it depends on if the new tools will be glamours or upgrades. upgrades will probably be as I just mentioned, glamours will be tacked on to some sort of new crafting achievement, possibly a meta such as:
'Complete the following ahcievements:
- I made that V
- An Eye for Detail V
- An XXX Life for Me
- Craft 1000 Level 51-60 items

More specialism recipes are likely if any of the new glamour gear is level 60 4-star.

Unless SE adds a new half-tier like Ironworks, 3.5 shouldn't be raising the crafting bar as it's a catch-up patch. That means our rotation shouldn't change unless we find better ones. The worst we'll get is 4-star furnishings and glamour.

To be fair it's more RIP end game crafters

I wonder if those Blessed tools are obtained through the new achievements for crafting unique recipes?

Yeah, they should be obtainable through the achievements. Since they are ilvl 200, they should be exactly the same as the upgraded ilvl 200 tools, right? I don't expect we can put materia in them. (So only glamour.)

That's what I expect to see myself, same stats as current i200 just flashier graphics.

If we can't put materia in that, that might be problematic for some people (myself included). I melded my gear such that I could craft 4-star without specialist crystal for when they release the specialization requirement. But that's ok, the tool is entirely optional probably. And will make a nifty glamour. I'm glad it appears to be an achievement item. I might even have some of these achievements done or close to done.

At least the achievement doesn't seem terribly hard to earn. I'm sure many people already have them complete/almost complete. I expect a few legendary crafters out there will have them all by the end of day 1

It seems no love for Blacksmith this patch no New Recipes for Blacksmith, I was hoping SE added the Crafted version of Dreadwyrm Weapons (Neo Aetherstone - Weaponry) for all DoW/DoM but I guess not maybe in patch 3.55?

Seems it is a very lean patch for crafters, the most exciting thing I saw was the miniature airships. Any new recipes will be 3.55 I guess. I was hoping for more glamour synths. The sparkly "Blessed" tools are really easy to get and won't keep the attention of any endgame crafters for long. :<

That's it! I've come up with a new recipe!

Uhhhhhhh....if Blacksmith doesn't get any new recipes at all, how are those of us who have already crafted every item going to unlock the new achievement for it? Normally achievements like this that people already have the requirements for are unlocked upon doing one more thing that counts towards the achievement. Hopefully just crafting any old thing and not something you've never crafted before will still unlock or I will be a very unhappy camper.

Why RIP end game crafters? It is just that specialty is removed but to craft 4 star items one still needs high control and craftsmanship, no?

Probably partly the lack of new recipes, most of it being furniture so no need for being able to hq...there's also the fact dungeon gear took a bigger jump than usual @ 245 and alex normal gear being unlocked which will undoubtedly each take another chunk out of the crafted 250's market.

If you really made every item that has a checklist then just synthesize anything and you'll get the achievement.

[EDIT: Thankfully, it seems SE is aware of all this stuff below and this is mentioned in the Known Achievement Issues post, so all will be sorted out in due time....grumble grumble]

That's not the way it worked before with achievements like this and having logged in and tried, it doesn't work now. This is beyond stupid. I can't get most of these achievements since you have to gather/craft something that counts for completion that you haven't gathered/crafted before to trigger it...but most of the classes did not have anything added this patch that counts. Most new crafts are under the books, which do not count, even if you've never crafted them. A couple classes are OK like CRP with the low level picture frame and GSM has a couple items under the old housing list you can use, but classes like BSM and ARM are screwed since there were no new items added at all to BSM and no new items added to ARM that count for completion.

Oh and did I mention there are only 153 unique mining items? And the achievement is for 160?

Going through my lists, this is the current situation with these achievements for those that had complete logs before 3.5:

Mining: Impossible for everyone, there are only 153 items possible to gather right now.

Botany: Impossible to get for anyone who completed their log.

Fishing: Possible, but you will have to catch one of the new big fish to unlock the achievement, which is annoying.

Carpenter: The new Grade 1 Picture Frame and Yarn Basket furnishings are under the old Housing list of recipes, so they count and will unlock the achievement.

Blacksmith: Impossible to get for anyone who completed their log.

Armorer: Impossible to get for anyone who completed their log.

Goldsmith: the Ivy Pillar and Pendant Lamp Planter are under the old Housing list, so they will count.

Leatherworker: The Raptorskin Shoes (poor man's pteroskin shoes) were added to the 41-45 level crafting recipes, so they will count.

Weaver: the new Wool glamour set (poor man's flannel) were added to 41-45, so they will count.

Alchemist: The new cherry blossom corsages added to the 51-55 level crafting recipes and the Paissa Topiary furnishing count.

Culinarian: The new Riviera Breakfast is under the Housing list, so it will count.

So that's 4 classes it is impossible for me to get the achievement for at the moment. GG.

The Botanist one is not impossible to get; I have it.

Nothing new was added to the Gathering Log. He's saying that if you had already gathered one of everything in the Botany Log, you would have the required number for the achievement, but no way of triggering actually getting the achievement, rendering it impossible to get, at least for now.

That's what he meant in the classes that have "Impossible to get for anyone who completed their log".

I believe what they are getting at it, that if you had already gathered everything before the addition of this achievement you lack a new item to gather to activate the achievement. It doesn't know to retroactively check to see if you qualify for it.

So any class that didn't have new craft or gather items can't get the achievement if they had already completed their craft/gathering logs.

Gotcha! I was one away from the achievement when I logged in, so I just went and got a hidden seed.
