Wind up Edda please.
Padjali Armor.
Watch hundreds of thousands of people succumb to their lust for the reward. They're really fun to run PotD with at that point! :)
Hopefully higher tier items from silver and gold sacks (I assume they will add these since all we have now are bronze sacks). Im hoping for more sweet glamor pieces. The bronze sacks have given me a lot of clothing that I couldn't afford from the mb. I would like that trend to continue.
Wind-up Edda will definitely be there.
I'm more interested in the new weapons. Will the amount of upgrades increase? Will there be a collectible to earn during runs? Special chests?
Wind-up edda is a given from the new hoards, likely the nightmare pegasus as well, but red fenrir won't come from it.
One thing I noticed. If 3.45 is gonna come out in 11/1, how come SE didn't announce a maintenance for Monday sooner? They usually do for these patches.
I'm kinda expecting that Gold trimmed sack from floor 151 through 200 will likely have a chance of containing Ornate gear alongside higher rates for dropping rate stuff from lower sacks.
Yoshi-P did say to wait for the 6th weeks when people asked about making WT easier so that they could get Ornate gear easier during fanfest and Tuesday will be the start of week 6 for the patch.
It would not surprise me if we need the Padjali weapon achievement for the class/job we want to go in as to enter flor 51.
It would not surprise me if 51-100 (the "main" levels) have a second 1-30 for their Aetherpool Arms/Armor. They could simply go with the current Aetherpool gear and extend it to 60 60 though. Either way, I would be rather surprised if the max was not an entry requirement at some point soon after floor 100. Might be 101, might be 121, but somewhere in there.
I hope for the edda (weird, my phone auto corrected her name as dead lol) dress, but we all know where that will come from :/
Idk what to expect honestly...if floor 200 is indeed challenging to get to then I hope the reward is worthy :)
Hmm, I think we might see the Padjali weapons becoming more and more corporeal/physical/tangible, and maybe that they will not lose all of the aetherpool arm and armor levels every time we make a Padjali weapon. Or, it could just become another item that will take up our limited inventory space...
Traps Galore, "Ticking Time Bomb Trap" Similar to the trap from Syrcus tower where you get a "bomb" on you that can only be esuna/purify or instant death.
Confusion Trap, Confuses all target in radius of trap to attack random target
Lethargic Trap Reduces Max TP and MP by 50% and reduces TP/MP regen by 50%
"Rust Trap" Temporarily weakens Aetherpool weapon/armor for rest of run (Effect stacks but can purify to remove all stacks)
"Crystal Disrupter" Floor trap that disables all Job abilities on current floor
"Random Reflector" Mob types are given random reflect effect, melee/range/Magic, reflects partial dmg back to target
"Arthritis" Causes bound/slow/paralysis on target when their TP is below 50%
"Magical Fatigue" Causes silence/Mp cost up/Slow when MP is below 50%
"Winded" Causes stagger when HP is below 50%
"Fear the Reaper" Floor effect that causes instant death if you are hit by the "Fear" enfeeble
That's all that comes to mind, though in all honesty, the only one I"m really expecting is confusion, cause that one will really cause chaos in dungeons.
I'm gonna take a wild guess and say expect alot of crazy shit
If it's 255 then that weapon is absurd, not even worth the time given we have 150 more floors. The crafted weapon would still have better utility over the new PotD weapon, and even Sophia is a more reasonable grind vs having to go through 150 floors potentially 3 times to get the upgrades, the weapon would be better suited at 260, given how new Relic is likely going to bring it up to 260 maybe even 270, they've really put themselves in bind with this particular gear trend. Unless this relic step is going to have a 4th sadistic grind, I really don't see many people grinding out PotD to help gear like they did for 1-50.
For everyone that can clear SopEX or get Crafted weaps with easy sure.. but there will be and still ARE many out there that cant. And this will be good for them..This game is for both the Hardcore and the Casual players, most lad back casual players don't get 270 tome or Crafted/EX weapons very easily like most. So this will be a nice way for them to gear up alt jobs with out having to do much work..
It not always about if the weapon is good or bad, it all about the upgrade/ILv just to have it for most. BiS is always nice.. but mos dont give a rats ass about BiS and just want to injoy the game with a Ok-ish wepaon POTD gives them that with out having to feel like they need to farm 3-4tomes weapons or EX boss for all the next better ones.. AGAIN sure it nice to have BiS or 2nd BiS.. but its ok to just have the 3rd/4th BiS if it give you that iLv boost too.
The assumption you have is that you need to do floors 101 to 200 to get Kinna (i255 PotD) weapons. Floor 100 is the final story floor and floors 101+ are the hardcore bonus floors.
During the announcement of PotD they explained that floors 1 through 50 were the casual learning floors, 51 through 100 were going to be harder and closer to Midcore in difficulty, and floors 101 to 200 would be Hardcore content.
Kinna weapons will likely only require finding silver chests and defeating bosses on Floors 51 through 100 (the goal will likely be +60/+60). Silver chests on floors 101 to 200 will likely just increase the Aetherpool over the Kinna weapon requirement to allow progression through the final 100 floors (likely to a max of +120/+120).
i think you'd only need to get to floor 100, to get wep. btw, it already been data-mined, so it IS 255.
if it was 260 or even 270, there would be no point in getting shire weapon....before most ppl could even get it, that would be truly stupid (same with relic wep, if it's 270)
It offers an alternative to Sophia, with different stats. or just glam wep.
Expecting it to be interesting not like the 50 first floors.
It was just a pain in DF and just cleared it once since it was way too painfull with DF
probably trade +50/+50 Aetherpool things for i260 or 265 weapons.
probably though ..
Yeah, i was in a party yesterday on 41-50 and just knew we were riding on that teetering edge... and sure enough. LAST ROOM, LAST FLOOR before the boss, guy says, use the witching pomander! and runs into a room with 20 mobs. ... -_-\\
Still, i'll happily take low clear rates on the 100-200 with great rewards.
Let 1-100 be for exp/tome grinding and some decent treasure. ... or frankly, let just 1-50 even be for that.
But really, i'm hoping for more creativity out of the floors ahead more than anything.... here's hoping.
Are people forgetting that floors 100 to 200 are the 'savage' floors with no progression related loot on them? Or did they say something recently that shows they're going back on that idea?
I'm sure we'll see the mount and stuff there, but nothing weapon or gear related.
My guess:
The rarer hoard sacks will contain better loot, including completely new items exclusive to POTD such as the Wind Up Edda as well as some of the existing rarer minions and glamour pieces. Some new items will likely be obtainable through handing in potsherds though.
The idea that floor 100 is the "end" and the rest are just for the challenge is why I speculated that to enter Floor 101, or maybe it'll be 121 (we don't know) will require a maxed out Aetherpool Arms/Armor pair.
I just gathered my group of 3 and got a forth from random que on 41-50 and they did just that, then right before they died popped the rage pomander, and died, and lost it, and those adds reset onto us (bard machinist and whm with our own group) and we wiped. floor 47.
This.
That wouldn't really make sense as all other difficult content in the game (while it's relevant) doesn't require any form of item level to be reached.
Though I'm sure you'll probably want near-maxed armor and weapon anyway, if it's as hard as they are leading us to believe.
Umm .. hmm?
Everything (else) is either character level locked, or item level locked. Floor 1 of PotD has no Aetherpool requirement, but starting with Floor 11 you have to have a certain minimum Aetherpool level to enter. My gear is currently 30 30 in anticipation of tomorrow, so its not telling me what the requirement for 11 or 21 (the two floor sets I'm at right now), or I'd tell you what the requirements are exactly.
A5s-A8s require anywhere from i225 to i235 to enter. A9n+ require i230 to enter (not that they're difficult content).
You may simply not have noticed the ilevel requirements because you've already exceeded them.
