More Destroyable Seasonal Items on Mog Station

Another fixture, Eerie Wallpaper, has been added to the Mog Station. If you ever want to have another wallpaper in your house/FC room/apartment you will have to destroy this wallpaper that you spent real life money on. If you want to put the Eerie Wallpaper back up, you will have to spend another $5. This is unacceptable.

Even the metallic dyes have a way to get them in-game. Fixtures are the only Mog Station items that you have to buy over and over again, even if you already earned them in-game! Please please fix this! Either make it so fixtures are not destroyed when they are replaced or give us a way to reclaim our earned items on the Calamity Salvager or Recompense Officer.

Why would they fixe it considering people are willing to pay 5$ for an IG wallpaper in the 1st place ?

Someone asked why house exterior replacements were destroyed upon removal and they misunderstood the question. Thought the player wanted them saved into a "housing log" of sorts where they can swap without it taking inventory/retainer space or whatever, but it could have been a quick translation. Definitely do agree, not sure why any housing items are destroyed on removal especially with some being exclusive to events or requiring expensive materials to make. :/

Your basically saying they are intentionally selling a destructible item for 5 dollars is so they could target people that have no value for money.
I think it is an oversight on squarenix's part, especially since this has happened before (the Chocobo Toy) which was corrected later.

All i'm saying is that only SE know why they made that choice.
Of course it could be just an error, they might have forgoten to change it in idk, the item code, (the event version being destroyable) and if so will probably fix it asap like they did with the plush, or they might have decided that it should be like for those of us who got it during the event and then it could be intentionnal thus resulting in, yeah, receiving 5$ again, we don't know.

$5 is flat out too much I think. I buy the $1 dye pots any time the in-game ones go up really expensive because it's easier to part with $1 for a consumable item. I'd say a wallpaper that you'll only use for the holiday should be about $3 or so, that would seem more reasonable.

Then again if people are willing to pay that price, why not.

I tend to agree with this. I think that mistakes can be made, but I expect that some amount of marketing research goes into the pricing and that more than likely, a price is lowered because sales expectations aren't being met at the higher price. Even in the case of a mistake, if the higher price is printing money, why adjust it?

I'd like to point out that ALL wallpapers, flooring, and chandeliers are destroyed upon removal. ALL of them. This isn't a cash crab in that sense lol.

Many shops in RL also sell wallpapers you can't reuse once it was on a wall.

I've never been able to understand why we are expected to destroy items that we worked hard to obtain or craft or paid for just because we feel like a change

I don't understand why no one has brought up the fact that minus the broom and minion; ALL OF THE FURNITURE ITEMS CAN STILL BE PURCHASED ON THE MARKETBOARD INGAME.

This is the biggest reach for money I've seen yet by SE and not well thought out on their part.

Actually, the ones you buy in Mogstation are Market Board and trade prohibited.

(That's not to say you can't sell them, but you have to use a backdoor method)

Nope. Mog Station items are not tradeable or sellable on the marketboard. You cannot buy them and sell them in game.

To the two people above me, the halloween furniture you could get in past events are NOT market prohibited. There are people who have stocked up and are selling them on the marketboard.

And to the people defending wallpaper being one time use, halloween is a yearly event. There are a good number of people who would not want to switch to a holiday-specific wallpaper if it becomes destroyed after use and the prior wallpaper is also destroyed. It is much easier to do something like swap out a table for halloween table, and no destruction is needed in order to decorate your home for the holiday.

I support the idea of those items not being destroyed when removed. Though I understand that crafters might have an easier time if they can sell more walls and floors, so perhaps getting only the cash items back by using the Calamity Salvager (or any other means) would be the best solution. That wouldn't affect crafters in any way, and people who spent money on some items could keep them. Win-Win? I can imagine that people might be more prone to buy something they know they can keep, though I might be wrong.

Well please dont bring RL examples in this (with rl wallpapers) since you know other destructible ingame items are movable in real life so thats not a good argument.

The wallpaper is not the only bad thing in this...you have to pay 5$ for one chair. If you want a table and four chairs you pay 25$! In Black desert a MMO where you only pay once to buy the game a whole set of furniture (9 pieces!) costs nearly the same..and thats a MMO that needs the cash shop to survive..how exactly are any of the recent mogstation prices reasonable?

Well actually I don't, as you can see, I'm against CS and would love to see those items be brought back in game every halloween event :) , was just defending myself xD

Then buy those from last event on market board, some of us stocked them back there to resell later :)

I love the seasonal rewards we get but the ones that are destroyed if you remove them after placing I simply quit using. Which is sad. :c

I support the mog station, but even I would say something that is destroyable probably shouldn't be for sale. Not sure what they're thinking on this one.

I think that anyone that originally participated in a holiday event should have the ability to re-purchase event items from the Salvager.

If they want to put destroyable items on the Mog Station for anyone that missed the event, I'm fine with that for the initial purchase, but then make it unlock the ability to re-purchase it from the Salvager as well; SE is being super greedy. :/
