Yes well, Gaius had a gunblade but we don't have a playable gunblade class.

That said, doesn't mean samurai wont be in.

well gunblade could be a thing since we are fighting the garleans in 4.0. probably not next expac but maybe the one after

Well actually it's more because of the shirt Yoshida was wearing. Last fanfest yoshida wore a batman shirt as a subtle hint to dark knight. Whereas today's fanfest he was wearing a Scarlet Witch shirt.

Didn't they mention a Garlean as the main antagonist in this keynote? That looks less samurai and more Garlean to me.

did you notice that all of the commander of the empire wear heavy armor?

but the stance is clearly samurai like :x

He is in a samurai stance. And if it's true then samurai, red mage and dancer are confirmed.

Yea, well... everyone thought DRK was going to be a DPS, so, unless DNC or RDM is the tank. i'm afraid it's looking that way. unless 2 dps jobs will release, as i'm somewhat certain rdm is the healer of the trio. or caster DPS (maybe melee caster?)

that's because it's already been discussed. and it's most likely the new Garlean Antagonist. there's a bigger picure where you can see his 3rd eye, that all garleans have. and his design is very much like the other garlean bosses we fought so far.

Wow there, you're rather hasty here... It's not really a samurai stance, actually, it's really close to the second stance of the PLD with their weapons out, and then... How do you conclude on red mage and dancer based on a bad guy's "sammy style" artwork ?

Red mage is almost confirmed, samurai is likely to happen, but Dancer... We have nothing to make us believe in this dancer-thingy... The red woman is doing a kata and that's all, she doesn't look at all like a healer, given how she delivers huge blows to derplander... She's a monk, get used to it. They already have issues balancing three healers, so I'm guessing there will be only 2 jobs, those being SAM and RDM...

I saw that art and noticed the sheaths are katana shaped, that's too obvious.

So if it becomes the new tank, that's okay I'll have my MNK to go ham on. Though if the next DPS uses a sword, I'll probably switch. NIN was my first choice but it felt like a mess compared to MNK so I couldn't even stick to it long.

you picked the worse example, Look how thin her armor is compared. His is is bulkier than the others. Does that make him a tank ? You're right, no and I never said it was or did you just choose to ignore the question marks? But Its speculation, just like everyone thinking DNC and rdm confirmed. Also this is the only picture we see of a weapon.

the difference its pretty obvious in the amount of armor they have on compared to this new one. theres nothing bulky about what they have on

It is Zenos, the new Garlean antagonist, yes. But he's wielding a long, 1-handed sword with a slightly curved blade in his right hand, with a sheathe on his left hip. Regardless of whether he's meant to be a hint at anything the weapon does most resemble a katana.

While I personally think these are the 3 jobs added (if 3 are added, part of me thinks only 2 will be on release), we don't have confirmation on any of it yet.

That said, I can see it possibly being like:
RDM Tank with self heals
DNC Heal with dancing buffs
SAM DPS

Though, I'm more inclined to assume:
DNC DPS
RDM Heal
SAM Tank

Just make Samurai be from Garleans and make him like Sam from Metal Gear Rising :D
