wouldnt even suspend me or tell me not to do it...
Who cares?
PL is not against ToS.
Abusing game mechanics is though. (Not saying that's what you're doing, Seth.)
You're not exploiting a game mechanic. (Yoshi-P approves)
It's like committing adultery. If your spouse condones it or is aware and does not take action, it can't be used against you later. (but if you go after Billy Joel down the street, that's another story full of chest hair and cotton subligar).
what .
But if you discovered a way to say... strike an enemy after it dies and get full XP + loot each time. And continue doing that... that would be disconcerting.
i.e. Be in party as level 50, kill enemy, leave party, have level 1 strike it with auto-attack until they're level 50.
NOT saying this exists... no no no...
you actually get in a party, attack a mob then leave the party to PL? that doesn't sound very efficient. There are easier ways you know.
Perhaps this is why:

Why do you believe a player should be insta-banned for one offence?
I'm more worried about the guy claiming that we can exp off dead mobs.
pl is broke. newb claims mobs, then higher lvl nub kills them. newb gets full exp. the high lvl don't have to be in the party.
For those who don't understand, I used to do something akin to this in XI.
ME, the PL, would be a BRD PLing a group, who had a hard time killing enemies.
Staying alive wasn't an issue, just low acc/att.
So I had my friend make a macro, to invite me /pcmd add Name
I then had a macro that accepted the PT invite, start casting the buffs, then remove myself from the group in 1 button.
(Same with ballad for the BLM)
So taking that idea, for XIV, just have a debuff AoE, like slow. (Won't kill the enemies)
Have your friend invite you, via macro, and go grab a ton of enemies while in the PT.
When you have all their names of the correct color, it gives the group the claim, even if you drop from the PT.
Now the monsters are on you, and with no one 11 Levels higher than the rest, the whole group gets the full EXP if u kill the enemies from outside the group.
To drop PT faster, make a macro to leave the PT, and start AoEing.
as soon as the mobs die, ur friend hits the invite macro, and u hit the accept macro.
You don't need to do all this, it's so much easier to have (almost) level appropriate mobs aggro the group getting leveled. When one of them does an action, any action, they'll get claim. At that exact moment, the 50 CON PLer heals the person that grabbed claim, which also grabs hate from all the mobs, then proceed to kill them. The PLer never needs to be in the party.
There goes the whiners and massochist, i dont like PL but you should worry of what you do not what others do, im not elitist but i know when a player doesnt know how to play their role because of an easy leveling, after that theres only 2 options that i always do, one: i help them asking them what i need them to do and number 2: if they suck that bad i skip them.
Everyone should be able to do what they see fit.
outside pl preferably thm. Full party of 8 low levels with 1 tank, tank war drums a group of 8 mitelings, the other 7 lowbies cure him just in case, thm nukes 8 mitellings, lowbies sit back and get massive chains. That other pl system was just jank and unheard of thats kinda like if you were doing MMM in FFXI or something.
exp drops within a certain level, so i dont think a rank 1 can kill a rank 50 and get much sp. i usually do 1-30 then 30-40 then get then to zarhark or natalan
If you are trying to quit, there are easier ways to go about it.
who cares if people powerlevel you should be posting about all the gather & crafting bots
your right, you know SE want to kill the game before 2.0 supporting the casuals and then they leave to other new mmo's, next month the new starwars mmo watch the populations drop. and may stay down if its any good which i hear it is.Quote:
well, in all 3 cases people are gaining levels without putting in the effort to do so themselves so it's just as bad.
