We don't need PvP gear set. Currently you guys are wasting the development on these glamour... we use pve gear for PvP anyways. Take the PvP glamour dev guys and give them something more useful to do. PvP gear has no use as morale isn't even doing anything.

It's not bis tbh with morale removed people go farm the best pve secondary stat gear. When synced along with materia outclass the PvP gear. Morale being removed didn't make a difference we just figured a way around it.

The future sets should be pure critical and determination set. Other stats are garbage for PvP.

Firstly, secondary stats on PvP gear are, in fact, superior to PvE gear within PvP instances. It's not easy to see it, because we have no way to view the stat caps without actually getting into a match, but when you have a solid PvP set equipped, the stats are optimized. You have the opportunity to min/max what you need for the content. If you want proof, check out post 738 in this thread. It's an outdated photo from one full gear cycle ago, but it makes it pretty clear that PvP sets are not useless in PvP content. When under level sync, the stats are best with a mixed set.
Secondly, even IF PvP gear was useless (which, it's not) and only worked for glamours, why the hell would that be grounds for SE to stop making it? Every single patch, SE comes out with numerous "fluff content" that serves no actual purpose except for glamour. Most often, that gear doesn't even have stats on it at all. It is literally only for glamour purposes. Are you saying that SE should abandon that content as well? it's not useful, other than to make us look cool or pretty, so it's a waste of time, right? Crafters and gatherers who make this stuff shouldn't complain either, because they have no business making things that serve no practical use. Right!? It's not like people spend millions or billions of gil on these items on a daily basis or anything. That would just be silly ... RIGHT??
In case you couldn't read sarcasm, SE should not be removing PvP content from the game. If anything, they should be adding more PvP pieces. They should also, finally, come to a firm decision on what they want to do with the Morale stat. -

I kinda like there being gear that you have to do some pvp to get. Don't want there to be even less rewards for doing pvp. It's a part of the game they are committed to being an ongoing content type with its own team. They just need to fix things like morale and pvp materia and pvp meals (red drop, green drop, etc) being leftover fragments of a system that doesn't exist any more.

Morale is just there. It serves no purpose people said it was an advantage for the lesser geared player. They even asked us how to change it awhile back. My friends who are fully geared admits it don't do much now compared to how it was back then.

The point of pvp gear is to allow people who primarily pvp access to gear that would be on par with pve gear for pvp purposes WITHOUT having said pvp gear being directly equivalent or better than pve gear for pve purposes. This is accomplished through morale - which bumps up the item lvl of pvp gear before item synch is applied.
How can you say there's no point to pvp gear or that morale does nothing?
It in fact fulfills a vital game design objective.
Think before you speak. And realize that not everyone pves. People enjoy the game in different ways and SE has every reason to ensure that as many as possible can enjoy the game.

This item level boost is present in i80 and i150 modes however you don`t notice it at all due to the gear synching down as soon as you enter pvp.
The only way you will notice is if you wear a piece of pvp gear that does NOT meet the stat caps of i150 PVP.
For example: Weapon PVP stat caps for Critical hit in PVP is 52. If you were to enter i150 Frontline or the feast with Rod of the Black Griffen (which has 52 Critical hit) your Critical hit would be much higher than if you entered pvp with Kujo Kai. Even though Rod of the black Griffen and Kujo Kai both have the same item level Outside of pvp and the same Critical hit.
When you enter PVP with the Rod of the Black Griffen, the Morale on the rod will make the rod a item level 210 weapon which will boost its stats beyond its original amount far above the i150 stat caps, and then it will synch back down to i150 because of the limit on the game mode.
A lot of Hard core PVPers that look for just the right stats will sometimes snag i180 PVP gear to help with thier builds.
However, Morale will be at its full potential in the 1 v 1 Duel mode in 3.4 since it is Not Synched.
Morale stat will mean PVP gear will actually be somewhat of a big deal for PVPers that only do PVP and don`t do much PVE content in this game mode.
Sadly this wont last for long since in 3.4 there will be an item level raise, so all we can do is pray that there will be more PVP gear coming. (or they add a level synch to Duels) -

I made this awhile back showing the difference. The 180 pvp boots give +2 crit over the 180 tome boots, due to morale.
32 crit is the cap for boots at ilvl 150. Since it's the only stat below i150 max levels, its the only one you see a difference in (bcs of morale). If there were no ilvl sync the pvp boots would have 58 crit (along with all its other stats boosted to i210 levels) -

There's no response whether dueling will use morale or not from SE. So we're going to assume atm that pve gear will win. Just my opinion. They gave us no info on it so til 3.4 hits we can only speculate save the rage for patch day guys.
