MogStation Deleted House deed (gil and items) paid service restoration

In short, stop deleting player assets. Nothing screams "never resub" by deleting players hard work.

Consider, at the least, a paid service on mogstation to get at least the 80% gil and items back.

3. As far as I know, all furniture (that isn't destroyed upon removal) as well as most of the Gil you paid for the plot go to a housing NPC where you can pick them up from once you return to the game.
Ofc it is possible that there is a time limit on that as well that I am not aware of, but have you checked with the NPC yet?

Apparently two threads isnt enough... I contacted an In-Game GM and exchanged 3 emails each a Lodestation ticket, and both confirmed DELETED. This is what I wanted to achieve with the other post (awareness, too many people seem to be laboring under the delusion that things don't get deleted, when GM, Service Ticket, and 3.1 patch notes say otherwise. Packing up/Rolling up and making available the lot? ABSOLUTELY. Should have been in there day one, but deleting instead of hanging onto a players items? No. Player inventories stay, FC bank stays, retainers stay, and im willing to bet my 3rd and 4th retainers inventories are still there too if i resubbed, but oddly, house inventory was singled out to be deleted wholly).

I did talk to that vendor, but as stated before (and in 3.1 patch notes) your items are 'packed up' after 45 days, a month later are 'irredeemable' or in other words Deleted. (its the resident caretaker whom you'd, in theory, talk to)

This is the suggestions thread, hence i suggest a mog station paid house recover (just the 80% gil and the items not destroyed on remove would be sufficent) in lieu of just deleting player assets =(

Actually, this is the localization feedback forum, so even making a suggestion concerning the housing system is completely wrong here.
This is a forum to report on translation errors or ponder differences in the language versions of the game.

You get a full three months with several emails during it (if you didn't recieve them it's your own fault if you registered a fake/forgotten email with them) telling you your house and stuff will be gone if you don't come back.
If you STILL decide to not come back, there is no reason for SE to keep all this additional data.
Keeping it infinitely, actually, not knowing if said player will be back at all, and even less likely, that they will pay real money for the service you are suggesting.
Other games don't even keep the character data at all for more than half a year of inactivity, so I'd say we have it pretty good in comparison ;)

Thank you, the service ticket was wrong then to direct me here (link and all) though your unhelpful attitude was unpleasent and I do not understand your opposition to a paid service request to have deleted player housing. Doesnt bother or affect you, unless you just dont want players having said options, in which case its probably best to not engage you further.

except it does affect us, there's a housing shortage right now and a good chunk of it consists of inactive players. Houses are an investment, and you logging in is essentially similar to paying the bills.

/sigh, ignorance... PURE ignorance (named the last goon to boot =D). If you bothered to read at all, you'd see that I am 100% in support of getting inactives out of the way. What I DO NOT support is deleting everything (the game currently rolls up your house items and 80% of the gil, and puts it on a vendor, freeing up the lot immediately. This is a good thing. Then the game deletes the 'rolled up' deed on the vendor after a month. The deed was not blocking anyone; infact its not even visible to anyone else. I dont understand deleting the assets completely, hence the request to have a paid recovery WHICH DOES NOT EFFECT ANY OTHER PLAYER IN ANY WAY. In simple terms its like deleting your 2nd retainer inventory after a month of not calling him/her from a bell.

The reason they do not hold onto items from deleteed houses indefinitely is because it would clog up the servers. For every person that buys a house and leaves the game forever at some point afterwards, that would be one more set of items that would take up valuable server space forever. They do not want to deal with an ever increasing amount of stored data that is never used, so they put up a limit to how long it is stored.

Housing items that have been reclaimed is likely stored on a database/table separate from character data, and is reference by a foreign key. Their inability to store data for longer than 45 days is a design decision, and has nothing to do with any server/resource limitations.

Doesn't matter where it's stored. It still takes up space somewhere. Space that is limited.

Storage is not limited. The limitation is usually tied to how much active memory they can utilize and the time it takes for them to read and write to the database.

This has little to do with storing housing items that are no longer being displayed in the UI. If SE is utilizing active memory to store reclaimed housing items. They need better software engineers.
