Server's down?!?!

I haven't been able to connect since Friday afternoon, is anyone else getting error 130001 error code: 0 Lobby server timed out?

Although this probably won't be the same case, when I was getting this frequently, it turned out my wireless was intermittent and kept seeing myself lose connection. T'was more difficult to see on a website where it might go in and out. But on the game, it pulled a Gandalf on a balrog and would not let me pass.

It's showing that your server is up and running and I didn't see anything about your server being down in the Information section of the forums.

I did some reading up on what you can try doing.

1: Contact (Square Enix) you can do this on the homepage.

2: Clear out your cookie,cash,temp files.

3: You could try installing the game again but I wouldn't do that until you have tryed all of the above.

4: Make sure you haven't change any of your internet options.

Can you login at all as in are you getting the chance to enter in your username and password?

Thanks for the info. I had posted on the tech support page but got no response. As it currently stands I've cleared my cache, temp files and cookies to no avail, I've also reinstalled the game and that didn't work. There's been no changes to my pc since friday afternoon when i was still able to log on until now other than powering down and back up.
I'm able to get into the "game" itself but as soon as I get to what would be the character select screen it times out

Turn off your firewalls in windows and your router to try it out. If it works, you need to unblock the ports the game uses. Remember to turn the firewalls back on.

Did you by any chance get disconnected from the game thurs or friday and not log back in after and now your having problems?

The reason I ask is because the servers might believe your still logged in perhapes I'm just taking a guess but this kind of sounds like something that happens to me sometimes when I get disconnected for some reason.

Unfortunately I've tried disabling my firewalls already and that still wouldn't let me through.
I logged out as usual Friday, what's throwing me for a loop is the error code 0. I've seen the 3102 code before for when I get d/c'd and the server still views my character as being logged on and I'm pretty sure the 1501( or something similar) is the server's being down.

Did some more reading and some people said to make another character on the same server. See if you can login that way if you can log back out and log back in on your main.

It's would be worth a try.
Let us know what happens.

I continue to get the loading screen then timed out. I never even see my character listing.
I just found out my brother is getting the exact same problem. Makes me even me more curious because I was thinking it's maybe a provider error but we both use 2 different internet providers.

I hate to ask this but have you turned off your computer? Or even turned off your router?

Try turning them both off and then unpluging them for 5 or 10 min and then powering it all back up and see what happens.

Also are play wireless or are you plugged in?

Did you get back on yet?

I've powered down the PC and both turned off the router and unplugged it, powered everything back up and still can't get to the character select screen. I play hardwired from the router/modem directly to the PC.
I'm really at a loss with it because it came out of no where and it's lasted for days now.

Ok so did some more reading came up with a few things to try and get you back up

1:
1) Go to Documents -> My Games -> Final Fantasy XIV -> user
2) Delete all the folders inside.
3) Restart the game.

2:
FFXIV Config, then opened the General Tab. I changed the UPnP Port Mapping from Automatic to Do Not Use.

FFXIV - Ports (55296-55551)

I could log in but couldnt interact with anthing ingame couldnt start leves or buy/sell to npc's so i logged out fuck it

When did this happen?
I ask because Rabanastre did have some server problems the other day.
