the doze emote should work on the ground

i want to be able to lay in a field or steps of the foundation

I think seeing people laying everywhere would be odd, but it would be nice to be able to lay down on benches and other things that you can sit on. Maybe make a command so you can change your /sit (on a bench) to /doze? That'd be nice.

I bet it would be fun being able to sleep outdoors, outside of housing areas! You'd have to be wary of stray chigoe, though!

while I do want to be able to lay down on the ground, I also don't want the current /doze emote to go away either. So there would have to be a new /emote added to be able to distinguish between /dozing while standing or sitting, and /dozing to lay down on the ground.

Just make it a /laydown emote!

Or /nap!

But yay! I've wanted this a while, too!

Don't worry guys they're not going to get rid of doze. If anything it'll probably be a "persisting" emote like the dances.

You know what I want in addition to this, that serves zero purpose what so ever?

Beach balls
Beach towels to lay on the ground
little sandcastle fire work items I can use on the beach.
Maybe a little tent I can pitch.
A grill so we can all have a beach party with like marmot steaks or something...

So it wouldnt be odd if someone was laying down on stairs, in water, right next to a monster? Thats probably what he was talking about.

It would be nice to be able to do the lay down /doze on couches.

There are a LOT of things already in this game I would consider far more "odd" than laying down on a flight of stairs or whathaveyou.

This would be awesome! Just this morning I was in Limsa and the fireworks started for the event. How great would it of been to /laydown and look at the fireworks that way?

Also there are many many of us Eorzea citizens without homes/chambers. So finding a bench,nice patch of grass to sleep for the night would be heavenly
