I think seeing people laying everywhere would be odd, but it would be nice to be able to lay down on benches and other things that you can sit on. Maybe make a command so you can change your /sit (on a bench) to /doze? That'd be nice.

Not much more odd than wearing pointy hats - it seems odd because it's uncommon. If it was a common thing, it would be "culture".

There are a LOT of things already in this game I would consider far more "odd" than laying down on a flight of stairs or whathaveyou.

I bet it would be fun being able to sleep outdoors, outside of housing areas! You'd have to be wary of stray chigoe, though!
