I usually handle the Company Board for my FC but every time I make a message I always have to think "Oh.. I don't have enough space.." or "Oh.. I have to pay attention to how many characters I put in.."
I was thinking what if we got a Company Board furnishing amenity? Where you click on the board and it shows a SEPARATE message to the chat board? I always wanted an extended company board but it would probably clog the chat log.
And please make it have large character and line capacity. Like 1,500 or 2,000 characters. 20 lines or something.
If we had maybe an outdoor item for board we could write down so many things. FC rules, action schedules, events, rank requirements, etc, etc.
Is this a good idea? :D

I'd prefer a company announcement/calendar thing attached to the lodestone (but extremely less cluttered/more simplified than the lodestone) as part of the UI. Anything where someone's going to have to take their character to the house and routinely check it isn't going to work. That's not to say I wouldn't like a variety of little boards we could use to post up message either inside or outside. Useful for making little restaurant boards, blackboards for classrooms, special greetings among other random things. I just think for the specific reason listed for it I'd rather have additional UI elements.

I'm talking about making it part of the UI, connected to the lodestone if it must be (some people use it, I don't see the appeal). As it's part of the UI it can be accessed from anywhere. Again though, I still like the idea of having boards where you can post up messages. I just think if it's a housing item specifically for FC announcements it's going to wear on people having to travel clear back to the house (provided the fc even gets to have a house) to check.Quote:

I posted something similar in the General discussion yesterday, my suggestion was more about upgrading Moogle Mail to allow FC leaders/officers to mass mail the FC membership, and increasing the size of a Moogle mail. I also included a suggestion that mirrors the one you've already made.
I'd really like to see both things, to me an in-game message board for FCs should have been a standard component of the FC system, and Moogle mail is woefully primitive with 200 characters anyway, even Twitter does better now. So let's have a real messaging system with group mail options for FCs.
The game uses web protocols underlying everything else for communication, so how hard would it be to bridge in the Lodestone into an in-game 'appliance' to allow players to access the lodestone from within the game? Another way to accomplish the desired goal...Quote:
