Housing Item: Free Company Board

I usually handle the Company Board for my FC but every time I make a message I always have to think "Oh.. I don't have enough space.." or "Oh.. I have to pay attention to how many characters I put in.."

I was thinking what if we got a Company Board furnishing amenity? Where you click on the board and it shows a SEPARATE message to the chat board? I always wanted an extended company board but it would probably clog the chat log.

And please make it have large character and line capacity. Like 1,500 or 2,000 characters. 20 lines or something.

If we had maybe an outdoor item for board we could write down so many things. FC rules, action schedules, events, rank requirements, etc, etc.

Is this a good idea?

I'd prefer a company announcement/calendar thing attached to the lodestone (but extremely less cluttered/more simplified than the lodestone) as part of the UI. Anything where someone's going to have to take their character to the house and routinely check it isn't going to work. That's not to say I wouldn't like a variety of little boards we could use to post up message either inside or outside. Useful for making little restaurant boards, blackboards for classrooms, special greetings among other random things. I just think for the specific reason listed for it I'd rather have additional UI elements.

Oh I know. I absolutely hate the lodestone. I'm talking about making it part of the UI, connected to the lodestone if it must be (some people use it, I don't see the appeal). As it's part of the UI it can be accessed from anywhere. Again though, I still like the idea of having boards where you can post up messages. I just think if it's a housing item specifically for FC announcements it's going to wear on people having to travel clear back to the house (provided the fc even gets to have a house) to check.

people (mostly japanese) over here on the JP datacenter use Lodestone alot or atleast twice more than EU and NA does.

that being said, an ingame housing item for an extended company board/notice would be lovely. they should also throw in an option to like kinda notify members with a small icon on the status bar/clock when there's an urgent message!

People don't use the lodestone or external forums generally. Usually fewer than half the member will look at one of those things, and among PS4 players it's even fewer. An in-game option would be immensely useful to FC leaderships and members alike.

Its actually a nice idea! the model is already done (there is a nice board inside the miner guild), and don't think will use much memory in the servers, as the FC message is there already.

Having a house.. That didn't even cross my mind when thinking of the idea.. Thinking of new furniture sucks when you remember there is a huge shortage of homes..

It could be attached to the FC window already in-game, so it doesn't require a house. Like a little icon (think sales history icon on the MB) next to the Company Board message. As well as have a wall furnishing as an additional item that will link you to the same?

If it becomes a window within the Company Board message they might as well just make the board itself bigger @_@. A wall furnishing almost like the pic posted, I can imagine that actually.
