1. Duty Finder queue pops. I can't teleport, gather, or much anything else, but apparently I can still hop the nearest zone line and change zones after I've hit Commence. As someone that likes to stay busy, 45 seconds is JUST enough time for me to get a bit annoyed by what little we can do while waiting for Healer #6/DPS #15/that one tank to never come back from afk.
2. "Cannot execute from this location."
a. Wording. I can nudge my character in all directions but this won't fix it, but tilt the camera just right and no problems.
b. Why is my character suddenly blind because something's obstructing the camera?
3. Pop-ups in dungeons. I mean, if one person had sole control of opening doors I could understand this being a thing, but it's not like I can troll the other 3 players by just refusing to open that one door we need to proceed. At the very least I'm glad this defaults to "yes".
4. That one error message (I forget) that happens when you attempt to log back in after a disconnect too fast. Is there some reason this couldn't force your previous login to close, or AT LEAST could we have some sort of status icon on the character select screen so we wouldn't have to just randomly guess as to when we're able to log back in again?
5. More forums related than anything, but the 1000 character limit I'm going to no doubt have to edit this post to bypass. I like my walls of text. ;_;

No, this is SE's design style, to ask you to verify things. It could easily be removed, but they have their reasons im sure. In some instances its to prevent mistakes (Adding materia to an item or something similar), and to help prevent misclicks that lead to heart ache and GM tickets. Why they put it on doors and stuff im not sure.

You left out a lot of the most annoying ones. Such as only getting four mails before no more can come in. Not being able to send your alt a in game mail. Heck not even being able to give rights to your alt even if you have them in your FC and can click on their name.
Then there is not having a pet And a mount out. No minions in dungeons. Not being able to talk to friends in tells while in dungeons.
The list litterally goes on and on. But these are some i just can't wrap my head around. -

And, while it is annoying that you can't do stuff anymore after duty popped or that you can only recieve a certain number of items, I think it's pretty clear that technical limitations are at work here.
The "Do you really want to open the door?" is the only thing I seriously do not understand.
Especially because they DO have doors that start the opening loading bar by simply interacting with them, no extra questions asked.
Now I see how it could make sense if opening a door was a trigger for the monsters behind it to attack you, but that only happens at exactly ONE single door in all of FFXIV, Haukke.
So it's not even like the question is a hidden "Are you prepared to start the fight?" because even if you open the door, in 99,9999% of all cases no fight starts through the opening of the door.
Well, and the character limit on the forums, yeah.
Get rid of it already. I understood during beta, but how come we still have a beta stage forum several years after release? -

The restriction that annoys me a lot is:
"[NPC] cannot respond while moving." During /beckon levequests.
Really? Why can't the NPC respond to my /beckon emote while they are walking? Why do I need to wait to /beckon until they have come to a complete stop?
Also, and correct me if I am wrong, but why is there no prompt when joining a group that my Duty Finder queue will be cancelled, BUT there IS a prompt when I try to summon my chocobo?
Because queue times can be insanely long, it is easy to forget that I am queued. When I see a group of a hunt, for example, I will join without thinking. Only to find out my queue is reset.
But when I try to summon a chocobo there is a prompt. But now when I try to join a party.
(I may be mixing this up with something else. But as far as I remember, is this not the case?) -

For those of you who think you should be immediately whisked into an instance:
You queue up, there is a 20 minute average wait time. Do you wait around for 20 minutes doing absolutely nothing, or do you do other things?
Do some of those things require you to change gear and/or classes/jobs? Do you really want to show up in the dungeon instance as a level 15 miner when you queued up as a level 60 Dark Knight? How about if you queued up as a level 35 Scholar, would you really want to show up in level 59 Bard gear?
Do you really want to lose your spot in the queue because you are the wrong job/class?
This is the one major reason I am thankful for those 45 seconds. -

WoW Legion, for one, will not only allow you to queue as any of various specs/roles available to your class, but will also automatically swap you to the appropriate one upon entry into the instance.Quote:
