Now some of them are pretty clear such as using hacks, bots, RMT but there are ones that just a umbrella term such as "for use of offensive language" ok but what did person do that was so offensive as everyone finds different things offensive. Now if someones goes all "#&#&#&@&#&#&#" on chat ok I can see that and most likely person going to remember doing that. But if some say calls someone a "idiot" or a Richard (if people know term I'm talking about) something like that someone could find that offensive and report person for it and the offender most likely not even recall who or even that they call a person that, and then SE giving you a warning for it as I said before telling you to stop it without even telling you exactly what you did.
I get the whole anonymous report thing and can't tell who reported you but you could at least tell the person what they did. "You said this word or phrase" unless it was a targeted attack most are not going to be able to figure who reported them.
(made forum topic cause that what GM suggested to do for my suggestion, which was also mentioned to them)

Not sure why reporting for offensive language is even an option when there's a filter. If you don't want to see "mature" language then use the filter. : / they should also implement a mute function.

As FunkyBunch said, I know for sure the with the Forum ban you recieve an email with a specific quote of what you said which got you banned. I believe the in game ban does not, but I wouldn't know.
On another note, I think the GM's need more specific terms to ban people. Most reports rely on the GM's opinions themselves unless it's a blatant offence. I received a forum ban for a very petty reason, yet I've seen some people on here be extremely rude and downright offensive, and they're still posting to this day, nor have their posts been removed. -

if you have a doubt about a word/sentence, chances are you shouldnt use it. Live by it and there will be no need for anything. Most though call it *freedom of speech*. Want an example ? I will give you one no later then 1 day ago.
Sexual inuendos in open chat related to women/children and others (yep you heard right), crude words wiht quite some descriptions about it. When that person was called out, yeah I did, I was told that it was freedom of speech and I should get over it.
With this in mind, you really think people will accept a ban with a long explanation when they believe is freedom of speech? even if you told this person why he was wrong and that there are things you cant say in public, you really think he would understand ? let me give you the answer..He will not and those like this person will not. You think they are rare ? chats are filled with those inuendos, crude wordings even if you have a filter it doesnt make it right. Just my opinion of course

Since I got ingame warnings/ban I can say they tell you what you did wrong and even quote you. x)
Edit/ my friends and me got all warnings/ban from a void ark run one of them cause he was insulting his titan egi which was later quoted in the warning -

While I still don't know exactly I did to cause someone to do the report. It must of not been that serious cause it was past on to a senor GM for review which reduced it from a warning to a caution. Which a caution is not a penalty (break of the ToS) to the account and just saying hey don't do that again but without actually telling what I did. Makes me feel better knowing I wasn't completely in the wrong and someone probably just got offended too easily but what ever I said.
