Wow £17. I wasn't expecting that much but will have to buy it. It's just too awesome.

The cost is because its account bound/2 seater...unlike the cheaper mounts which are on a per character basis.

Bought! Wonder how my Lalafell will look up there :D

Technically, it is more expensive. They need extra data and traffic to check on your account and send over the mount to each existing character, and future ones to come.

It is the same with retainers - You 'rent' each month traffic and data from them in order for more storage space and retainer services.
They aren't Blizzard or Riot which can whip up their own server infrastructure. Extra traffic costs money, and it took them long enough to finally get the EU data center actually into europe.

I never spend any money on mogstation before except for the monthly retainer for storage, but I need to throw my money at this one for some reason.

Yeah, you can get the game cheaper than the mount, cool.

At this rate the red fenrir will be $40 and people will still buy it lol. I think I will pass on this. Pricing is just getting silly now.

I had no problem with mounts in the cash shop that are just some other color of another ingame mount and I was already a little sad that they put Sleipnir in it instead of being able to get this in the game. Why do you have to put it in the cash shop instead of making it something you can earn ingame? :/ I really thought that the red fenrir would be for the mogstation and that this one will be earned..I really hope that this is not a trend by making more and more mounts and pets exclusive for the mogstation...we are paying a sub already and it would be nice if the time was not wasted on something that we have to pay on top of that..

At least in games like Black desert you only have to buy the game once and never have to pay a single € again so I can understand that a complete cloth set with a weapon will cost 35 €. (But you can buy it for less without the weapon or even just parts of the clothes..) Here we already pay monthly and should at least have the possibility to earn things ingame..I have nothing against recolors or being able to buy and earn it at the same time so people that dont want to take the time can buy it. But creating something only for the mogstation and making it cost nearly double of a monthly sub is really bad...

I hope to god that at least some of this cash shop moneys goes back into this game...

got excited when I woke up and saw on the launcher about new mogstation items, then I saw this fat pile of garbage and got disappointed once again that it was just a mount. oh well, hope the people buying it enjoy it.

Dunno why people complain 21euro is almost the same price as bennu mount when it got released. Buy it if you want if not then simply dont? Shh people act like THEY HAVE to buy. There are 3 mounts only 3 on mogstation and ppl complain lmao.

Beautiful thing about having a good paying for job I work hard at. I can buy things like this and not feel guilty. Lol.

Because people keep buying in their CS and, worse of all, keep asking for things to be put in CS .
No wonder why they keep (and will probably increase) adding item there instead of in game considering in game items cost money to developp and CS items brings money in (and we all know this money will probably never go into FF14 dev team....)

If we don't want items to be put in mog station we need to stop buying from it , they will either stop putting "exclusive" things (a loss i know but still better than that) or put it IG via grind to make money because as long as you grind, you pay a sub but, in the end, you get a chance to get your item

Of course we don't HAVE to buy it but if we like it, we have no choice but to buy it. You can eat for 3 or 4 days with 21€, why only the rich ones could get that moubnt when we all, poor included, pay the same sub ?

Right now Edda's outfit is the glamour hot topic right now.
Previously it was Y'shtola and Thancred with their new looks and haircuts - Guess what was found in the files of 3.35

Simple economics: supply and demand. If the demand is great, there will always be a supply.
Tho I agree, there should be a way you could purchase them with in-game gils, to be fairer.

I know but we should not have to BUY these in a sub game. Let them add these in CS, if we, all together, stop buyint these, they might stop adding them.
I'm not against CS, i'm just against CS in a 13€ monthly game. At least make it F2P and do like some others MMO where, when you have a sub, you get CS money every month for supporting the game (like TSW - EQ2 - Rift etc).

Well I already bought some things from the mogstation so I am normally okay with most of it. I also bought the bennu mount..but I had the chance to just earn another bennu mount ingame if I put in the time or gil (I have both of them btw, bought it for the music). But with Sleipnir and now the Moogle mount people have to buy them from the mogstation, otherwise they wont get it..and like Sleipnir its even a mount that people looked forward to getting it.

They have enough ways to include it ingame, making it a grind or costing lots of gil. But instead they decided to use their time to create a completely new mount and to make it even better charge a lot money for it..at least with the recolors they already have the model for it and only need to paint it in another color and maybe giving it another music..barely any time was used for it and people have way to earn another version ingame..

And all people don't need those things ;) that does not make it right that they still charge for it. Would you feel fine if every ingame mount from now on will only be re skins from ingame monsters and all the unique mounts will be in cash shop? Or maybe no new mount ingame at all? (I know that this statement is a little over the top but if that would happen it would be alright right? Since nobody truly needs mounts in the game ;))

I would never ask for something to be put in the mogstation and I hate to read topics about glamour that want it to be put there...I want to play the game to earn my glamour not open my wallet and be done with..I only was okay with most recolors because you can obtain it in game too and being able to purchase old event items was nice too (even though it would be way better to be able to buy them ingame again at the new event..) I am really against them putting in completely new housing items that can even be lost after removing them..and I absolutely hate that they put this mount in the mogstation.

[I do admit that I gave in and bought the Sleipnir mount when it went on sale over christmas >_<'' but I will not buy this one..at least not for this price. I have money to buy it..but after what happens with the EU campaign and other things I don't feel to give SE even more money..]

They really need to put it in game (in addition to cash shop if they want). So if someone wants to pay money, he can obtain it here and now, and someone who doesn't he can still obtain it eventually, but it will be some grind.

P.S. It's called pay to win sadly, but a little bit better, than being unable to obtain it at all without paying additional money.

I love it, but I'm not paying 3200 yen for a mount! That's 2 months sub, it's insane.

I'm so salty. I was so excited for that mount just to discover that it's on mogstation. :l
I though I paid my sub so they could put content on the game and maybe recolours on mogstation. Sigh.

Can we have some feedback from a japanese speaking player to see if they react / how they react to the addition of the mount in the CS please ?

30 dollars huh? That cost more then all the failed content 3.0 has ushered in combined. Glad I only play this on Tuesdays now.

You do get a return out of extended subscription times, though Veteran rewards which most of them are exclusively tied to it.

Sure, rewards we can't choose...i take those others games as exmaple but there, you can choose what your reward is, you can buy that awesone glam you've seen for months or that cool mount without having to pay more money that you actually do.
I did not even take my last sub reward because it was a gob helmet that i find crappy and ugly, some of us may like it, i don't and i might not be the only one so why can't we just choose ?

plus i don't care about having that "super exclusive item for sub players only who payed a year of sub" i'de be fine with that mount everyone can buy as long as it is my choice to buy it with the CS credits i get everyone month ^^"

I though a P2P community would have way more critical sense about these subjects and instead I'm just meeting the same old whales from f2p korean mmos.

Most of MMO are F2P nowadays so I guess players are used to that kind of attitude from gaming company that NEED CS to keep developping the game and SE shamelessly uses this habit to make even more money on us :/
As long as people will see this as normal, that won't stop and considering the large amond of F2P games nowadays the mentality will probably never go back to "i bought the game, I pay a sub, why should i pay more for things that are developped using my sub money ?"
