While I certainly agree with you, I suspect that nerfs will be coming down the road because of the "quality" of players that tend to make up a majority of the Duty Finder.
I wouldn't call Nidhogg and Weeping City midcore. I would just call them slightly more unforgiving. There's a difference between punishing mechanics and harder mechanics.

Just asking, compared with thordan and sephirot, is nidhogg above them?
I really enjoy the difficulty of this patch, hopefully it won't change, WE ASKED FOR THIS. :)

As far as Nidhogg goes, at least, I personally had more trouble with Sephirot (and probably still would)
I don't think Nidhogg's mechanics are all that difficult to understand and execute. If anything it's a somewhat harsh DPS check! I say somewhat harsh because it's not really that bad if people are trying to hit their buttons sorta correctly. Weeping City is a bit more mechanic heavy than Void Ark but I'm sure it wont be long before most people have learned what they need to do.
If they nerf anything it'll probably be the DPS required to kill the adds on Nidhogg or they might just wait til it nerfs itself due to gear.
Ya it really is only the Add Phase DPS check people are having trouble on. Those who can manage to pass with a PUG mostly make it by a split second left. Everything else before and after add phase is relatively simple to react to assuming the player can dodge and place the AoEs properly.
Heck after surviving add phase/Ultimate things was a lot easier and much simpler to recover from any loses. One of my group had 6 members die, res, and suffer from death penalty but we still manage to finish phase 2 and phase 3 simply by dodging and stacking on the right attacks. Painful? Yes but heck all of us were new and only thing kicking our a** was the add phase by trying to meet DPS check.
I did the fight with a premade party blind. After 3 attempts, it was smooth sailing and we all congratulated each other after we cleared it.
This is how the game is supposed to be played honestly. You fall and get right back up and learn what went wrong and correct it. SE has to stop babying us or people will never learn to think in these fights.
I still love pre-nerf Steps of Faith til this day. I'm tired of mindless fights because it just makes these Bosses a joke. Final Bosses are not supposed to be pushovers.

PERSONALLY, I don't care if they "nerf" Niddy normal, but they really SHOULD NOT nerf Weeping City. It is unrelated to the Main Story, therefore is not needed to "beat" the game. Its a RAID. Let us have something that gives us more of a challenge. I have never used LB3 so much in a duty, as a healer. I have not actually been forced to heal in a 24 man raid since... since, since. I've raised every healer in the alliance 1-3 times on a single fight and WE STILL BEAT IT.
Please no nerf it. In time, people will understand it, the carry will get stronger and gear will overgear it in patches to come.
We all asked for this? Lets not put words in people mouths. I have not asked for it but then again I have not asked for easier or harder content.

I am of the opinion that the current fights shouldn't be nerfed. Mainly because it is to early in general an because the learning "curve" left a lot to be desired.
I can see them tweaking the content, at least with Ozma, not necessarily nerfing it, but making things standout again his background a bit more. Like the indicator that spawns the singularity fragments and the acceleration bomb debuff. I've heard with SF that some people can't see it due to Ozmas spinning and the AB kinda gets lost in motion, would be cool if the die was constantly above your head. Other than those two things, I have no grips about the content
I never asked for a crazy difficult content that makes me frustrate so I wait till nerf is coming >_>
If people like such hard dungeons/fights: I dont mind!
SE can keep making 2 versions of it for easygoing players/casuals, like me,
and the a version for people that like to get 1hit k.o. for 1 tiny misstake.
But on that matter you're frustrating yourself because you have imposed yourself to do it. It's not mainstory related, it's not necessary for enjoying XIV's experience and you will most likely not be feeling "left out" lorewise until it becomes obsolete (like Coils and HW). So really, I don't think it should get nerfed, it's supposed to be a raid. We don't have a 24-people raid that asks 24 different people to work together. We have 24-people Sastasha where you can /follow someone and get to the end of the duty without being noticed, since everyone can carry it and one alliance missing half of it's party won't make any difference. We have plenty of easy content to please easygoing and casual playstyle, let people that want some challenge enjoy it as well.
You say no1 asked for this.. Because no1 of u read this forum , there are really a lot of topics asking for a midcore content!
It's been out for 2 days. in a week all this content will be cleared quickly and easily. No nerf coming.
Titan took people weeks to do.. 2 days is nothing to cry about.
