I'd rather the event but we all know they are going to be put back up at some point on mogshop.
Collab events are fun. Plus with all the people on the forums asking for Lightning's hair they did release the XIII items eventually on the Mog Station. After the event was released 3 times :p.
Why would and should ANYONE prefer that those items go directly into the cash shop? No, thank you, we're already paying for this game...
Either suits me just fine as I don't plan on getting any of them anyway.
Then as Vidu said, we pay for the game and should receive it all for free. The fact we keep complaining about storage space but they keep throwing new glamour items at us. With this new event coming and no where to really store it unless we can put them in the Armoire but I am gonna guess not.
Not sure why this is even a question. It should be part of an event quest initially then placed in the mogstation for those who still want it but missed the event. Essentially it will be both so the question is moot in my opinion. I cannot see them adding it as a permanent quest in the world and personally I wouldn't want them to do that, do a special crossover event and then plop it in mogstation for those who missed the event. Perhaps if the event is hugely popular they can bring it back now and again in following years but that should depend on how popular it is compared to other events that people would like to see instead take place. I, like so many others are very much in favor of the mogstation and while some people dislike it's existence and want to use every opportunity to bash it...as long as the stuff that goes in it are simply vanity items for most part like fantasias, vanity clothing, minions, mounts and such then I have zero problem with it.
They didn't say it was it was not possible. Just that it would be "tough". And if it's not impossible, you know that there's gonna be folks that will do it. XD
As for the topic at hand, putting the items directly in the mog store would pretty much kill the whole point of doing a cross-promotion. SE needs to get the referenced property right in everyone's faces so they know they exist. For a large portion of the FFXIV community who don't frequent the forums, they're likely barely aware that the Mogstation Store even exists. If they're going to cross-promote Yokai Watch, in-game is the way to do it.Quote:
You'll be able to earn all of the minions somewhat easily, but the weapons will be tough to get.
Yoshida: We wanted to make it so people could get as many of the weapons as possible, but Hino had some thoughts on this.
Hino: We wanted to make it so you have to put some thought into which weapon you want to aim for.
That said, it's my personal opinion that this cross-promotion isn't appropriate. While I'm sure the game has lots of cross-demographic appeal, really Yokai Watch is a game aimed at kids, while FFXIV is intended for young adult and older. I'd rather see promotions with other games intended for an older age group.
event lol i already pay a sub!

Current subscribers get it for free, new people and break takers get it for a cost but they get it nevertheless. Everyone wins.
