How is this fun? I think it\\'s time to give up. We all spend tons of time in Feast,working our hardest to rank up and it\\'s all a waste of time. Im not even gonna go into the reasons why we rank down, we all know them and so does SE. Feast was fun at first, but now it\\'s just torture.

It's been discussed ad nauseam in previous discussions. But to just rattle off a few points, we have players joining ranked queues with absolutely zero idea what PvP skills are, LBs out of the ass, and forcing players to work as a team when some players don't want to even communicate.
All one would have to do is scroll down and read a few of the posts regarding what is wrong with the Feast. It's just exhausting to keep hashing the same points. -

Feast seems to be more of a luck of the draw measurement rather than how good you are at pvp. Are you lucky to get with not new/not disconnecting people? Great! Enjoy your gold+. Bad luck? Ah, silver or bronze is for you. -

They continue to win and maintain their ratio because they're not constantly given the new healer or anything like that. Any time I've ever played a top 10 player, they were queued up with another gold while we had like 3 bronze and 1 silver on our side. It's like they have this incredible amount of luck which constantly pairs them up with competent players for some reason. They might as well be in party ranked since it always feels like they're running with a premade and they're hard as hell to fight.
If it was just a skill thing, I'd completely understand. I'd simply say "Oh. Well, they're better than us, so of course their party is good.", but when you're never paired up with the gold member or top 10/5 players and you always see them on the enemy side, it really makes you wonder if something else is at work here. I wish I knew what was causing this phenomenon.
It could be a specific server time, Eorzea time, maybe the first letter we chose in our name, our race, I'm not really sure. It definitely feels like it's controlled by luck though and nothing will be able to prove me otherwise. I have a 14 loss streak I'll always remember from this season. You try to tell me that queuing up with the same bad players that many times in a row is fair. Go ahead. -

I've gone from 1200 to 900 after about 30 games of feeling like I'm the only person who's actually trying. It's extremely disheartening, borderline depressing. The rating is not an indicator of personal skill; far from it. It's basically just an indicator of how lucky you get with the broken matchmaking.

Looking at the ratings on Primal right now, I'm thinking if I somehow manage to break 1300 or so, I'll just hang up the old sword and shield, then let the scrubs below duke it out instead of risk losing points again by queuing up with them, lol. Our #1 reached Platinum recently and didn't even bother playing today and I doubt he will play for a while now since he has a bit of a lead. I try to take baby steps though and only go in 100 point increments a day or so, basically to not push my luck or fall too far, but even with 100 points being only 4 wins away, that's a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT farther away than it sounds, lol.
I can't tell you how many times I've told myself "okay, only 2 more wins, then I'll break 800" or something, then I'd be looking at my rating 5+ matches later and see myself barely maintaining 600 points and I'm like "how the hell did this happen? come on!" because it seems like I actually get the good teams when I don't need them the most (like when I'm trying to increase my rating) and they come out when I've already lost 100+ points, so I'm just making up for my losses at that point instead of making progress, lol. Nevertheless, despite nearly dropping below 600 points tonight (twice actually), I kept pushing and finally reached a little over 820 (naturally, it was after the rankings had already updated though, heh). So later today, I'm going to try my damnedest to reach gold and pray those good players get on my team during the qualifier, lol. -

Imo the real problem is with people treating this like actual PvP, i mean we even got Rankings^^. Rankings of what exactly? When you see PvP rankings you would assume its for represented "skill" in PvP environments, but no, in FFXIV it's all about how much of a lucky son of a b$tch you are.
So i really hope after this joke of a PvP Season ends SE will patch it up and at least not make it a frustrating experience. I mean you got more chances winning the mini cactpot than progressing in this hellish ranking system they put in place.
And of course let's not forget the special PvP skins, that are only available to a few lucky bastards and not everyone that spent hundreds of hours "trying" to rank up this season.

i am stuck in silver between 490 points to 600 points.
without a good win streak i can't realy get up so, i guess i will not get the reward that's all XD.
No matter how hard i will try.
all i can do is doing pvp for fun and try to win anyway (off course pvp without keep spirit is useless :)), but i get a reason, the reward is not for me.
i see too many players insult others for loosing, especialy healer... (too much anger to healer, realy)
i even see Gold player take the big head.
Don't be part of this for a damn skin guys.
Do your best and keep in mind just 100 players by data center will get this damn skin. You won't die by not have it. It's just a skin -

I most certainly am doing this for the damn skin, lol. Only the top 10 players get the body piece, which is what I'm after. I got my Warsteed when it was first introduced, then worked towards my ADS mount when it came out, and went on to be among the top 3 players (not in terms of rankings, but achievement) on Excalibur to first receive their Field Commander Coat.
I've got my eye on the prize and that's the only damn reason I'm still getting up after being knocked down so many times already by RNG, lol.
EDIT: Oh... It seems the reward page states the headgear is for the top 10 while the other stuff (body, feet, hands, and leg gear) actually is for the top 100. Well, that seems simple enough to do on Primal then since I'm in the top 50 right now (regardless of what last night's rankings display since I reached 823 points shortly after the rankings were calculated :p). Huh... That's good to know though. I guess I was still on outdated data since they originally stated the top 100 was only getting accessories while the top 10 was getting the body gear and the #1 was getting the trophy (and all of the other stuff, of course). -

Unless it's like some kind of placeholder rating, I've literally been stuck at #101 this entire time, bouncing back and forth between mid-200s (where I'll forcefully stop) and high 300s (often suddenly running into extremely new/uncooperative players). I'm still trying, but the queue times and my personal schedule are really starting to clash. I'll be satisfied to be top 100 at all at this rate, but the constant back and forth due to factors often beyond my control is just. . . ugh.
