Medal system and stacks survey: tell if you like or not

I juste hate this. it's seem too much handicap when you know a LB can OS someone stacked, and now there more LB, i wan't to know if even anyone love this system ? XD

Dont really... u can dominate all the game and lost it at the last secondes cuz to much medals and unhealable...

I actually enjoy it, but I prefer playing a game mode that requires forethought and tactics, rather than just muscle. Medals, debuffs and supply boxes add depth to the game. Medal stacks encourage teamwork (splitting stacks) and diversity of tactics as opposed to the rinse and repeat method of "kill the healer!" that we saw in WD. Matches don't feel nearly as repetitive, and the possibility of an upset makes the endgame more intense and satisfying. You have to be on the ball if you want to stay on top, and that's a lot more entertaining and competitive; so, I'd say it's a good thing.

It's a pretty awful solution in my opinion, because it is SO easy on bad teams. I could be on a team and dominate the enemy, hold the medals, but then in the last 20 seconds someone can be one-shot by an LB, their medals picked up, and the enemy team running away and winning the match my team dominated in. This happens soooo often, and it is so annoying.
It's to the point where I wish they'd either nerf or remove LB's in pvp, because one-shot gimmicks have nothing to do with skill, and exist as nothing more than a cheesy free kill.

it's what i think also, stacks + LB , can result in a robbed match,i think medals system is good to make player not focus heal endlesly, defense buff and attack buff already make player want to focus a little more the dps.
but medals make a too strong handicap,
4 stacks on tank can is already a mess to heal, 1 stack already is enough to dps,
it's look like too much punishment to me, it make some damage loose because your team need to be more defensive and you need more heal.
I am not totaly against the system because it put variety in the match like februs said but i still think the handicap is overpowered

Lol Oz , i'm the first one to say there is to much LB in the feast . I hate this choice from SE to upgrade the regen of lb's...
Like Kentatsu im' not totaly against the system too but to much lb's and stacks are really insane...

No. No. Nooooo Nope nope nope nope. SO MUCH NOPE. I hate the medals thing. I lost like, 5 matches in a row because of tanks with 7+ medals dying, because they thought they could still dps and live.

Its a good idea in theory, but the execution is lacking. As pretty much everyone else has stated, the team carrying the most medals towards the end more often than not will lose due to a melee LB. Which is assume is the complete opposite of the intention behind the medal system.

This happens to me all the time. My team dominates and then the person with the most medals gets killed by a one-shot LB and I get blamed for it as the healer in my group. Very frustrating stuff. I want limit breaks gone. They are gimmicky and help bad players.

I dread it when my team starts out strong, because I know what's going to happen.

the problem isn't so much even the system. i can actually appreciate the system and its mechanics for what they are, even if i dislike the whole thing. but LB's definitely have made the mode a lot less enjoyable to play. there is a powerful sense of dread when you do most everything right or better than the other team, but the other team wins simply because of LB spam.

LB's have never been fun in pvp from the very start, and that hasn't changed.

To be fair the opposing team can't exactly limit break spam if you are beating them so handily that they can't destroy the adrenaline crate before you. I don't like the limit breaks anymore than most people here but alot of players will flat out ignore the adrenaline crates and then cry afterwards about the lb spam when they could have prevented it by just getting it themselves since they are technically "so much better" than the other team. You can't spam lb without those crates as I'm pretty sure should you ignore all crates you will only end up with 1 lb (time permitting). I know the inclusion of limit breaks is supposed to be a tide changer and perhaps a crutch for some players but they should at least consider disabling the dmg modifiers on it when combined with heavy medal stacks. Also the medal stacks threshhold should be raised slightly imo. It's pretty dumb to me to already have 1 stack of heavy medal at the start of a match simply because we won the opening exchange.

I agree it does make for an unrewarding experience since skill level is watered down. Which is why it would be nice if they could at least make it so the heavy medal debuff doesn't apply to lb however idk how easily something like that could be implemented for them. It's pretty funny however how SE implemented all these changes to make matches faster yet they are on average longer than they were pre patch lol.

This is a problem with the current perceived play style, not the mechanics of the fight.

The reason why a lot of people are having a problem with LB's causing immediate turn arounds late in the match is because people aren't thinking ahead. I wish there was a more polite way of saying this, but there is no way in hell that one person, even if they are a tank, should be holding the majority of the medals. You are flat out asking for a loss if the Tank is carrying more than 4 (and even that is pushing it if they enemy team knows what they're doing). Split it up, though, and the match can play very differently, even if someone gets one-shot by an LB. Quite frankly, people need to start putting a little more thought into how they play. It's a team based match, after all, not a game of tag.

That said, LB's are, most certainly, overpowered in this context.

Melee limit breaks are pretty devastating all on their own and can one-shot pretty much everything that's not a tank even without a debuff. They definitely don't need any boosts to their effectiveness. So,, if at all possible, I would very much like to see their potency adjusted to ignore the Heavy Medal Debuff or be scaled back accordingly.

Tank should not take more than 4 stacks, that's true, i even loss a dominated game with this 4 stacks, it make me think even 4 stacks is too much ? i would say yes and no, maybe a deeps with 1 stack is as easier to kill if i compare to a tank with 4 stacks.
All the tanks must advoid to take more.
But yes LB can supress someone stacked too easily, you can keep use your LB in the end and robe the match for sure. this is the lame thing.
I make me think the medal debuff is a little too harsh or/and the melee LB is overpowered.
I hope SE will make some tweak to prevent match to not be so easily robed at the end.

Even splitting stacks results in deaths for healer/dps. Healers are already pretty easy to wombo combo with an LB + anyone with half a brain to hit you as well. Add a medal stack to that? Goodbye healer. Same with DPS. They already fall pretty fast when burst happens. Tanks that go past 4 stacks are basically walking around with a 'kill me please' on their back. They really just need to get rid of adrenaline as a whole. Cause it isn't making anything faster like they wanted. It just turned into hot potato.

Oh enemy team with tank is hiding at base with 6+ plus stacks? Nin/mnk/drg, go to mid, grab adrenaline buff, and lb that guy near the end of the game, easy win :|

I honestly like it. I enjoy heavy amounts of mechanics and objectives in my PvP. That being said, coming after the medal system is a straw man because the real problem is the amount of LB that's getting off.

They need lower to LB, and they need to rearrange the heavy medal thresholds. Getting the first few stacks of vuln are a little too easy for non-tanks. I don't know the actual current heavy medal chart so I can't propose anything atm though

One last point, a lot of people have old meta mentality and think the tank needs to go 7+ stacks. I tried that the first few days of season 1 and got stomperiono'd. Once I stopped going past 4 stacks, I added 10% to my winrate. Ideally you want about a 4-1-1-1 split or something close to it. DPS die the most so end game they can grab medals and barely get stacks cause they're so low.

Agreed. If anything, the over-reliance on limit breaks has actually made the game slower, as it turns the last two minutes into a stupid dance of "can I juke/survive the incoming melee LB". It has barely any counterplay, involves very little personal skill or class knowledge, and in general is just unfun and cheesy.

Agreed. I liked that there was LB, but it's way too powerful right now, specifically melee. If they added a longer cast time for melee so that you could FEASIBLY get a CD off or something then it'd be a little better. Also, less passive adrenaline gain.
