Monk is slowly collecting gag weapons (emperor's new claws, tea kettle nexus, fists of the sephirot), which I've always had an affinity for. Can someone else get a costume weapon? Or like... everyone. Cool and goofy stuff alike.
BLM could have a broom, NIN could have oversized kunai, DRG could have a big dragon femur, etc.
I can't be the only one who loves this stuff.
And while I'm at it: Can we have an option not to have that obnoxious card-scabbard for AST? Why was a discreet box on our hip not sufficient?

I would so love to have an equivalent to the 'joke' weapons from FFVII here! As a suggestion:
GLA/PLD - Nail Bat and Pot Lid
PGL/MNK - Spring Gloves
LNC/DRG - Mop

Emperor's New Claws aren't really a joke weapon either. They were added at the request of MNK's who wanted to glamour as martial artists fighting with their fists.

PLD - Balloon Sword & Whoopee Cushion Shield
(Sword pops on Crits startling every NPC & Player character in melee range. All Blocks cause the Shield to...discharge.)
WAR - The King of the Sea
(A Giant Fish with smell lines coming from it. All sound effects change to slaps, thuds, splooshes. Crits cause the target to receive the "Somethings Fishy" debug and gain stink lines of their own. Fell Cleave causes it rain fish across the battlefield)
DRK - The "Official" Kloud Sword Replika <--intentionally spelled that way.
(A large sword that is surprisingly light. Feels like Cardboard wrapped with Duct tape & spray painted gray. There is a small dongle hanging from the hilt with a Male Blonde Chibi head on it. All attacks cause the sword to release clouds, and upon victory the DRK spins the sword counterclockwise and drops the sword.)
MCH - The Devil Hand
(Giant foam hand in the Devil Gesture. All attack make the MCH yell: Bang or Pew
Reload causes a Guitar riff to play while the MCH bobs his/her head.)
*Bonus points to everyone who knows where I am getting this from.*
BRD - Saxophone bent into a Bow
(The BRD shoots out of tune musical notes, and all Songs performed sound like a 1st grade music class.)
MCH - The Devil Finger
(Foam Finger in the Devil symbol, every shot we say "Bang or Pew" Reload sounds a Guitar Rift)

NIN - Twin Thermometers
(Take your enemies temperature the proper way. Remember...Rogue's do it from behind.)
BRD - Saxamophone
(A Saxophone that has seen better days. Someone tried to repurpose it as a Bow and failed.
The BRD shoots out of tune music notes from it, all Songs now are out of tune and cause players & enemies alike to cover their ears and bleed from the ears after prolonged listening.)
MNK - Moogafel Gloves & Kickpads
(Gloves with a live Moogle & boots with live Lalafel tied to them. As combat starts they cry & beg for rescue and exclaim swest drops. Every hit sounds a Kupo or chirp/cry. Crits cause them to act dizzy and have chocobos, Cactuars, & stars circle their heads.
BLM - Chocobo Stable Cleaning Rod
(Every spell receives stink line and every crit causes an unknown & questionable substance to cover the enemy.)
WHM - The Red Cross
(Cure spells are replaced with big band-aids, Gauss, and Revive puts the receiver in a full body cast.)
SCH - Healing for Dummies Book
(Causes your Fairy to be Voiced by Tara Strong & make complaints & snide remarks on how it does all the work, how you could be bothered to learn to heal, and how you'd better not Dissipate it.)
SMN - Egi Glamour Preview Brochure
(Disappoints & Depresses the Summoner during Combat.) -
